The storage compartment on the side is definitely different. The interior is alittle too luxurious for my liking considering it’s a truck. I still think I like the older style Ram 1500’s better (2001-2003) They still had the rough and rugged look of a TRUCK inside. I’d be almost afraid to dirty up the interior of this new Ram they have coming out.

side compartment thing is great!

chrome should never be on a truck

On a truck meant to be a “work” truck…i think the front end is ugly as hell, at a glance the head lights look like the previous gen. Fords :confused

every truck is meant as a work truck, right?

Do not mention the escalade ext or that Lincoln ugliness. Those are not trucks, but instead SUVs with the back hacked off

I don’t think you can say that every truck is meant as a work truck…

Chevy S10 - small/non-powerful
Toyota X-Runner - performance, 2wd
Escalade EXT - luxury
Hummer H2(the mini pick-up version) - luxury
Ford Ranger - small/non-powerful
Toyota Tacoma - small/non-powerful
Ford Lightning - performance, 2wd
Chevy Silverado SS - performance, 2wd
Dodge SRT-10 - performance, 2wd

Now tell me your going to go in thick mud on a rainy day on a construction site with an X-Runner or a SRT-10, or go and pull some heavy machinery with a Ranger or S-10 :confused

They did make a more heavier duty S-10 though, the ZR-1 or whatever they called it. S-10’s were more for maintenance type duty trucks. Same with the Ranger, I know they made a slightly more heavy duty type one from the base model.

Tacoma’s, especially the newer ones are a lot more beefier and can definitely be considered work trucks for the typical construction work.

S-10’s, Rangers, Dakota’s, and Tacoma’s weren’t intended for big towing capacity that’s why they made 1/2 ton pick up’s.

I like the new front end of the Dodge Ram, it kinda looks like the headlights off the Charger at a first glance.

so in order to be a work truck, it needs to haul heavy shit through mud? I don’t think so

I can get a lot of work done in a simple 2wd 4cyl tacoma.

now we are getting trim specific? The Ram is a work truck, the F-150 is a work truck. The performance trim trucks are just modified versions of that. The core of every truck is a work truck.

I’m just saying, all those trucks are work trucks but you can’t be hauling a dick load of weight around them. The different trim levels offer more heavier work loads, not trying to get out of preportion.

I completely agree with you though on the rest.

i like the idea of the side box, but how much cargo space is lost due to that?

the nissans had something similar, they utilized the area behind the rear wheel.

I still think the 02/03-05/06 is the BEST looking ram. I truly do not care for the 07’s angled headlights.

but alas, I doubt I will be buying an expensive ass truck anytime soon, as I cannot forsee a need

that side compartment is the shit, you could TOTALLY PUT YOUR WEED IN THERE.

:lol :banana
