Right, I still don’t think it’s a good idea to drive up, drink and then drive home. If it’s that big of a deal, I’ll give you the directions to bars in town.
For what we are trying to do, and this may come out like an ass, don’t come if not drinking is going to be a problem.
no its not a good idea, but if you have someone else driving and you have to have a drink then you can conceal it in something else. some people don’t like to “waste” a whole weekend day not drinking. for some reason car people always seem to have a drinking problem.

Ok, let me make this clear. If you are caught drinking on campus, you can and may have problems with the local police. The campus does not take “No Alcohol” events lightly. These are not my rules, they are Clarkson’s. They have made it clear that no drinking is to be done during this event.
Granted, I can not stop you and if you feel you can get away with it, fine. However, if I see you drinking and then you go to drive, you’re going to have a problem.
Once again, if you have to drink, don’t come. I could care less if a bunch of alcoholics don’t show up. This show is not about you or anyone that wants to drink; it’s about giving back to the community and supporting local farmers. I’ll be damned if I’m going to allow some shmuck to fuck it up because they couldn’t go one day without alcohol.
Have I made myself clear? Maybe I should just remove this thread as it seems the only people who have responded have some obsession with alcohol and car shows.

I’m want people to have a good time and enjoy themselves but I also want to make sure that everyone knows the rules because they are a ltitle different than your typical show.

Yea so for one…the name of the club is gay. I get a bad vibe about the club just by reading the name…clarkson sports car club…it is a name that doesn’t command any respect.
I’m not alone on this, i have a couple friends on shift and i received comments about the name.
If your going to sell this idea or convince anyone this is good your already starting off on the wrong foot with a stupid name. You want to sound legitimate.
I realize you probably didn’t come up with it but Jesus! Is that all the club could come up with for a name??..even clarkson car club would be better…at least that would be general to all motor enthusiasts.
The second reason…the one that takes away any last bit of interest I have is that the club secretary is angela cosner. I cant stand the sight of that girl…wtf why is she a club officer?!?
Sorry to come off as an asshole…I’ll still promote the event on shift and will likely attend and support…but i doubt you ever see me anywheres near a meeting.
