For starters the NHSCC drivers school is this upcoming Saturday April 10th, followed by the first NHSCC event of the year on Sunday April 11th. Steel Cities season will start at Beaverun with a test & tune on Sunday May 2nd (must register online for the T&T http://www.steelcities-scca.org/Autox/schedule.asp), with the first event being the following Sunday May 9th.

NHSCC events are $20 bucks for members and $25 for non-members. All NHSCC events are held at the North Park pool parking lot. SCR events are $25 for SCCA members and $35 for non-members. You can pre-register for all SCR events online, but it is not required! SCR events are held between Beaverun Motorsports Park and Consol Energy Park in Washington, PA. For anyone who is a first timer and would like some help getting into the swing of things. Just shoot me a PM. At any of the events either myself or somebody will be happy to ride along with you (or vice versa) and get you through the course ok!

I was wondering when they were going to start. thanks for putting this up! I will see you Sunday.

Yea I was got behind on posting this year. I’m finding out owning a house makes the race season approach much faster lol. What are you driving Whitey? I’ll be either in the civic or a silver Boxster S…or both I dunno.

Being a home moaner definitely takes away from free time! I will most likely drive the Subaru, I think the 240 is just way to much power for AutoX.

I’ve done at least 100 AutoXs on the ~440 RWHP my Z06 used to have. I only got to AutoX is once after getting the 427 and 600 RWHP all finished up before heading out here to Durka, but it wasn’t a “problem.” You only have as much power as you ask for with your right foot. I was able to use WOT a good bit on a pretty tight course.

I am sure it can be done and I did autoX it at 400hp. The issue is with power delivery. Majority of the course will be waiting for boost, our cars are worlds apart in that sense. My biggest problem last time was the way power came on in a turn. I would be fine on the entry then it would rip the tires loose mid turn. I am sure it was more driver but it made for a laughable experience.

If I remember that day you went faster on your last run with the boost turned down or something to that effect. The runs before that was the car trying to figure out new and creative ways to spin you lol.
