The much-anticipated 2011 Chevrolet Volt was showcased at the LA Auto Show. The new Chevy Volt is not a plug-in hybrid, but rather it is an extended-range electric vehicle (E-REV). The 2011 Chevrolet Volt will differ markedly from the Prius and other petrol/electric hybrids. It will also differ in many ways from the racy-looking Volt concept unveiled at the January 2007 Detroit Auto Show. It will go on sale next year.
