I’ve noticed NYSpeed posts are showing up in google results a lot more, which I’m guessing is what happened in this case.
I sold wheels on another forum from someone who found the ad on google (aka, not a member).
Beck, just curious on this one. The owners of the dealership where you work don’t mind you buying a car from them for thousands below invoice, then trading it in for more than what you paid? Don’t they lose money in that case? Or do they not give a damn, so long as they can sell it at auction for the trade-in number?
Exactly.
Auto.
More or less the latter. They aren’t losing money to sell me a car, they are just subtracting TDA, holdback, financial reserve etc. Just because you buy a car $1,000 under invoice, doesn’t mean the dealer isn’t getting any money. There are a lot of hidden incentives from Toyota. When I trade it in, I trade it in for whatever I sell it for. In this case, it’s just doing me a favor, nobody is making any money.
killer deal
I’m looking for an FJ Cruiser. I’m curious as to why you are selling this one after only 5,000 miles?

Sorry, I’m new to posting, could I have a conversation with you about your vehicle? I could call you or vice versa. I’m a bit uncomfortable posting my phone number. Thanks.
