$30,000 OBO

That lasted long lol. Glws.

5 months, time to get something more cozy. Same drive-train, engine and frame though.

Sharp truck. I will be purchasing a Tundra or Tacoma this summer. GLWS

Doesn’t it cost a small fortune in tax/title when you jump from expensive car to expensive car so often?
Anyhow…I don’t really like these things but for some reason I like it in that color…looks rugged. GLWS

Really think you can sell it for enough above trade in to make up for the $2600 in sales tax savings you’d get by trading?

I’d imagine you’d buy it through the dealership from him.

I dint know you had this… I love FJs!

… wrong thread

EXACTLY. <3

Not when you buy the cars for thousands less than invoice.

One particular car I bought, I traded in for thousands more than I paid a year later. It’s like the stock market, buy low…sell high. I can sometimes drive a car for a year and lose almost nothing if I trade it in at the right time. Sometimes I come ahead thousands more. Obviously it has to be on a truck/car that holds it’s value and has a flucuating market. 2007 FJ’s still go for $25k

Is this the 6 spd or automatic? Not sure if I am missing something. Sharp truck, by far my favorite color for these.

I surely understand buy low sell high, but after paying near 10% taxes you have to make up that amount just to break even. Between car payments, potential depreciation and fees/taxes I find it hard to believe you can come out on top when flipping cars frequently. It’s not my business and I’m not talking smack, was just an observation. No offense meant.

I’m looking for a WRX hatch 2008 if you come across one…sorry for possibly running a hijack and GLWS.

One benefit of NYS is you only pay tax on the difference. If he is running this through the dealership like he stated above and is buying something of similar value he will only have a small tax bill. I wish MI had the same deal and I would probably be moving in and out of vehicles much more often.

GLWS, Looks like fun. I always thought these were much more inexpensive.

Indeed, I know about paying only the difference in taxes. The monthly payment on a $30k vehicle is up there so carry costs over a year of ownership will almost certainly eat into any potential profits. That was my point and I originally asked more out of curiosity, not to stir up a shit storm. I’m always looking for angles and what not…it’s just that fuzzy math needs not apply.

Is this still for sale?

5500 miles? So you drove it to Cali and back? Or is that a different truck in the picture?

Still for sale, all pm’s responded to. Even if your credit is shakey, I’m still very willing to lend you the money.

Is this still available? I sent you a PM! Thanks.

Vehicle was sold back in January. Thanks for the interest. Only spent 2 days on the market and is getting shipped to California this week.

PS - and for everyone that says you can’t sell big money items on NySpeed, I recieved a PM on this site from a gentleman in Northern California who ended up buying the car.

It’s too late now, but based on my above question, i’m curious as to whether this was auto or manual.
