2014/2015 Snowmobile Season Thread

Buy my 06 MXZ-X 600 SDI. I’ll let others chime in on why it’s a great rip around sled so I don’t sound biased.

I’m just waiting on the new carbides to come in so I can toss them on, get some good pictures of it, and throw up the for sale ad. Sled will be turn key and need nothing (new ice attak 1.22 track, battery, slides last year with < 400 miles on them, new carbides and all shocks professionally rebuilt and tuned this year). I’ve got a gallon of Ski-doo oil, a sled dolly, and an extra large HJC helmet with heated visor I’ll throw in too. Going to craigslist it at $4k with a “you can have it” price of $3800 cash in hand.

Just picked up a '12 Arctic cat Z1 turbo! Too bad the engine is in a rzr and not a sled though

I have a set of Fox float shocks which should fit that. Let me know if you’re interested.

You did alot of riding. Shocked to see you selling so soon.

Everyone Love NT  unfortunately i work in NT just the other-side of town.

Anyone have a spare Diamond Drive cover laying around? Mine has a crack in it. '05 F6

basically ready

No more intentional or unintentional ditch banging for you.

Let it snow

Nice and aggressive, what’s the reasoning generally behind the shorter seats?

That’s an OEM seat. There’s a tunnel bag that attaches behind it.

My pussy is ready:

^ that turbo is the real deal

did some things to my pile, still haven’t ridden it yet :fu:

Removed the skid to change out some worn bushings, had it on its side, saw a big puddle of gear oil, WTF? removed secondary clutch to inspect Diamond Drive, apparently PO recently changed the oil in it, should be good right? NOPE. Went to remove the cover and:

Nobody parts these out and whole units were pricey but luckily the seller was a great guy and bought me a new factory cover

While waiting for the RTV to dry, I picked up the buffer and hit the hood with some Meguiars real quick. The difference is night and day…need to pick up more pads

Also baked open the headlights and matte-blacked the housings where appropriate. Looks way more aggressive than the stupid all chrome

and finally, a 2005 Time Capsule of a tool kit that looks to never have been opened or used.

Those diamond drives look unnecessarily complicated. I like the blacked out headlight housing. Does that only have one headlight??

They’re not THAT bad, but have 5 planetary gears and a few other reduction gears…I guess it’s sorta silly

It has 2 headlights, I am still working on the other one…

I don’t get the point either. How is that better than just two sprockets, a chain and tensioner like every other chaincase?

Because Cat needed something to hype in the sales brochures since they wouldn’t have a rider forward suspension for another 4 years.

“Now with patented DIAMOND DRIVE!”

I’m hoping that Alden/Marilla get hit good tonight so I can get out from my house.

I pulled the plywood off my shitty trailer this summer and never replaced it. If Marilla doesn’t open, I’ll spend Saturday fixing up my trailer, and Sunday riding somewhere south.

Also, as expected, there were a ton of snowmobiles posted for sale yesterday. But there were actually a number of good looking deals that pop’d up. I have a few inquiries in to add a second sled to my collection.

Hey Norb, you interested in those Fox float for the fronts? If not, I’m prob gonna put em up for sale shortly.
