I usually park at the Gerry Rodeo grounds if there is room.

We always parked up on top of the hill right near / on the state lands. I couldn’t tell you the road though. Gets busy from time to time and only really fits about 8-10 trucks / trailers.
Thanks for posting that. Been wondering about drop spots for those clubs.
I did about 20 miles on tri-county trails last night. Some areas were nice, others were wet, but nothing too deep. Definitely made a mess out of my snowmobiles though.
The chain tensioner backed out on my new-to-me Rage, but got that tightened back up on the side of the trail.
I think I’m going to start at Sunset and head south on Saturday into Cherry Creek.
Probably heading down south (Cherry Creek, maybe Angola) this sunday
Ride em while you can.
We’re doing the same…along with everyone else.
If Java gets a decent amount I’m heading out that way - the well beaten path is a last resort
Heading to Old Forge this Sat-Tues. First trip out
Let us know how it is. We’re thinking about a Tugg Hill trip in a couple weeks.
lowly what tune setup are you running in that turbo? damn things are ridiculous. i used to be able to outrun em… key word used to…
hardly any work to be done with those…plug in a tune swap a couple parts and go fast… glenn hall just reset the ice promax record with a modded one…went 4.36 at 155 in 660’… shilts reset the outlaw asphalt record with one that they swapped back over to trail ride too. 4.68 @ 148 660’ and still light trail riding after WTF.
diamond drives are great but like anything need to be maintained… mine has held up well so far but when it does grenade from too much power i will go to the stm setup. love the fact that i can change tracks without having to get oil anywhere. just unbolt the dd yank shaft swap track. you can do a track change in a dd sled in under an hour.
andy i told nystanger to mention the reverse to you… i saw it on HCS. if you pick it up ill help do the install…in your shop with the heat though of course
all that are getting out on the trails get the riding in while you can… i hear feburary will be a warm one. im heading back to the garage now…i have a sled to get back to the track this year.
Had a student die last night in a snowmobile accident.
Be careful guys.
Rode 75 miles around the Northern half of Chataqua lake on Saturday, all the way to Mayville. Trails were great but by 10am the traffic started to really pile up. tons of big groups (6+) coming around blind turns. For the most part everyone was safe and conscientious about giving way and going slow. On the way back (around 130pm) there were trucks and trailers as far as the eye could see at every drop point. The Witch Kitch must have had 75+ sleds in the parking lot.
Sunday we banged out 60 miles from Java to Franklinville and back. Definitely not as many people but then again the trails weren’t as in great of shape.

Those tiny dots are folks dragging stuff out to the middle of the lake to go fishing (just wild)

No pics from Sunday, we just hammered through.
Looks like you had a better go if it than we did. Four of us drove to Earl’s parking lot across from Pioneer Motorsport in Sardinia and planned to drop and run towards Chautauqua and that area. My buddy went to start is his, seemed like it was giving him issues, he pulled it one more time, huge backfire inside the trailer (which I think damaged my hearing permanently) and never got it to run right after that. Missing on one cylinder now with three different sets of plugs and good spark. Logistics of him being down didn’t make sense so we pulled them all back on the trailers and went to the Zider Zee for breakfast, then heard of a manufacturer’s test ride off Genesee road at the Sugar Shack so headed over there.
Ended up jumping on one of these in the 800 flavor and was pretty impressed. I’ve always had a hard time surrendering to the rider forward position but this really felt stable and comfortable. Certainly had plenty of get up and go. Put maybe 4-5 miles with a test group but I might be interested in giving something like this another try in the future.
Yeah, after riding my buddy’s XRS 800 in the pics for a couple miles, I’m on board with the rider forward stance
I did about 60 miles on Saturday. Left from the Burger King in Irving near Sunset and looped south through south Dayton and back up. It was my first time on the Cherry Creek trails, and they definitely lived up to the hype, even with the relatively little amount of snow.
Had plans of staying at my summer place in Irving and then going out for a bit on Sunday morning. But when we got there my electric baseboard heating only got the place up to ~50*, so we headed home.
Put in 90 miles from Irving down thru Forestville to Cherry Creek and back. Forestville and south had plenty of snow and wasn’t all that busy until later in the afternoon Saturday. Was glad to get the miles in before today and tomorrow’s warmup likely shuts things down again.
After riding a buddies Ski-doo Rev for 10 minutes I was already searching for a Rev to replace my ZR600 on the ride home that night. I can’t see why anyone wouldn’t like rider forward as soon as they try it.
I had to work this weekend. Considering selling the sled I just bought since it doesnt look like I will get to ride it this year. Rather put the money into a car.
130 miles Saturday from Forestville, down to mayville, back through Kennedy/Gerry then back to forestville. Conditions ranged from flat as a pancake to some moderate bumps. Mud was minimal, any of it was easily avoided. All and all, not bad. Sucks having to trailer to ride. So use to leaving from my garage and right on to a trail. This year sucks as bad 2012, maybe worse and doesn’t look like it’s going to get any better.
