2014 Corvette/C7

Id take a viper over the z06. But dat zr1 though.

This guy’s hate blog is a funny read:

This is only one page:

… so many pages of hate …

Wow that guy is mad

“As illustrated in this example, with the car ALLEGEDGLY producing over 660 rwhp (over 800 at the crank), the new Z06 should be reaching about 132 mph at the end of the quarter mile but it reaches only 128 instead… Being conservative again, assuming total car weight with the driver at about 3750 lbs, there is a difference of about 300 lbs to make the numbers make any sense. If indeed, there is no lost horsepower here, then there is only one explanation that makes sense here: the car gains about 300 lbs worth of DOWNFORCE during those quarter mile runs…”

Nobody told him manufactures don’t put RWHP on the sticker?

I think we are starting to get to a point with street cars where people are complaining that their street car is not doing a good job of being an actual race car. This is something that never used to be a problem because street cars didn’t have such high limits.

There are a lot of inaccuracies and out of context nitpicking, but he makes up for it with blatant insults.

If he upped his accuracy and kept within the lines would it be a man crush of yours?

I liked this paragraph most:

As already pointed out in this blog before, there is no way in hell the newest flagship is capable of (assuming it can actually finish even one lap) recording a good run on Nurburgring track. No matter how much kool aid Juechter may be serving to the brain dead Z06 buyers and enthusiasts, the jig is up and there is nothing at all anyone in GM can do about it. The car is still a great purchase-for those who like to practice their paint correction skills, enjoy spending time at their local dealership, love mingling with the tow truck drivers and are not in a hurry to make it to the next Cars and Coffee gathering.

$150k nissan vs $100k chevy; correct?

lol

That reminds me of my mom in her Evora…

that’s silly… maybe she was tripping it for a dealer?

get one of the ladies in admin to drive it instead of a lot boy… fewer burnouts

Check out the depreciation on these! 1,374 mile C7 for $38,900: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevrolet-Corvette-Stingray-Z51-3LT-NAVIGATION-EVERY-OPTION-1304-MLS-/291411300654?forcerrptr=true&hash=item43d977912e&item=291411300654&rmvSB=true

j/k, needs some work done to it

Yeah just a little. Like the entire driver side

At first I was shocked then I saw it was salvage.

Can anyone see this? Took a ride in a friend’s C7 Z06. Fucking incredible car, he posted the in-car recording from a launch (no launch control on this one).

Meh nobody needs that much power should just buy a BRZ instead

content unavailable.

also fuck you @LZ1 i keep looking for c6 z06’s

damn, not my video so I can’t cross-post or whatever…

In-car recording is badass, gives you a bumper view, currenty speed, throttle position, 0-60mph time, 0-100 time, 1/4 mile time and 100-0 time.

We did a 3.6 0-60, 11.7 1/4 mile and a 146 top speed … it was pretty fun.

Don’t worry, next time I meet someone with a BRZ I’ll get my own video. Maybe we’ll even find a Camry to race.

god this looks real good.

It does but no carbon brakes! I’m sure you could find nicer wheels too

it almost feels wrong (at least to me) to lust over a corvette.

I will own a z06 at some point that’s for sure…
