2014 Corvette/C7

Maybe I am just a domestic guy but I don’t mind the black interior you just posted at all.

I would totally drive a C6 or C7 vette.

You don’t buy a sports car for the interior, but you might NOT buy one because of it.

X…

I was really impressed with the C6 interior. maybe it just does not look good in pictures? I don’t understand part of the new C7 gauge cluster though. after 7000rpm you reach N is that metric or something?

Gear indicator? Neutral?

That new C7 interior is quite nice…the C6 interior doesn’t do anything for me at all…

And yes, I’m pretty sure the N stands for neutral, as it looks to be a gear indicator…or the Corvette is just telling you N for no after 7500 RPM…

I’m just waiting for these to hit the streets so people stop running their mouths about them lol. In a way, I was hoping that I didn’t like the C7 so I’d be happier with my C6, but yeah…I want one

your comparing what looks like a photoshopped picture to an interior designed most likely back in 97-98?

and no i dont think the s2000 is a great inteior (its rather mediocre to be honest)

My point was yambag talks out of his ass he even mentioned he hasn’t seen the interior and was making comments about it sucking

I used that picture because he was talking about car makers reusing styling between low and high models

Most of the people who bash the Corvette spend thousands and thousands to try and get their heaps anywheres near the capabilities of a base Vette.
Anyone who bitches the Vettes interior is too “bland” therefore they wouldnt drive one is like George Costanza bitching he cant fuck a really hot chick because her toes look weird

lol. right on 9c1ny!

I’m with George, I hate gross feet on a chick

LOL

New Vette gets good gas mileage (although with that skip-shift garbage) better than several other cars:

I never realized the Miata went down that bad in gas mileage from the model my father has (02) He gets over 30 mpg

I find it funny (translation: stupid) that Jalopnik is now making such a huge deal out of skip-shift even though its been around since the 1990’s. The only people who bitch about it are ones who’ve never owned or driven a car with it. If they had they’d realize how non-intrusive it really is and how easy it is to disable anyhow.

It’s only there so GM can claim higher MPGs on cars like this right? Is there any other practical reason for it?

C.A.F.E. rules & regulations.

Well yeah, higher MPGs benefit fleet economy. But beyond putting it in as a fuel economy gimmick does it benefit the vehicle / driver in any way?

These have been popping up everywhere. A couple (black/blue) in the parking garage and a red one at church yesterday.

In my 2004 CTS-V it was really bad. Always forcing me to go 1>4. I finally got a chip to eliminate it.

Some dealers seem ready to risk a little wrath. In a recent post on a Corvette fan message board, an irate customer of a California dealership griped about the price quote he received on a Stingray: “$10K” above sticker.
