Its a USDM S14, not an S15, it may look like a silvia (from the front) but it will never be a silvia

nothing erks me more than when people call S14’s with an S15 front a silvia, dunno why.

And granted it would take a lot of fabrication, but if your going to do the front end and call it a silvia, at least take the extra time/money to make the rear end look like one too.

And jeff you drove my SR20’d G20 and loved it so stfu, SR20’s powerband will eat your KA’s any day so what if its got less torque

it’s basically an S14.5 if they just gave it a facelift. i wish i had the money to get an SR20DET but unfortunately i’ll probably be forced to turbo the KA, though i’ve heard those turn out alright. is it frowned upon that i named mine Silvia? she will never be as fast as one but i couldn’t come up with any other name other than the obvious one. it was either that or Mona (tokyo drift reference :lol)

i have an sr20det. it just poweres the opposite wheels of a 240

he has NO idea what he bought. has a sr20det, with stock 98 SE VLSD. i SCHOOLED him on his own car. he didnt even know his seats were from a 97-98 silvia

i dont know dude, after telling him NUMERIOUS times not to “drift” or do anything stupid around the mc’d’d lot, he almost hit 3 cars when he decided to rev up to 4k dump clutch in the mcd’s lot in the corner. even seamus (tougethisDM1!?!?!) schooled him. he didnt even know what a lsd was. he is truly a bigger tool than booby t. he works for D’aurizios on curry rd in rotterdam. and he drives like shit. he ruining the hell outta that car as a pizza slave

well if that’s the case i’ll be sure to keep my eye out for him if he wrecks it and needs to part it out. lol

sad side note: i owned an infiniti J30 all thru high school but the engine died and everything was goin to crap so i had it towed off to a junk yard. spent a yr and a half without a car, then got my 240 and later found out that the LSD from the J would have worked perfectly in the 240 :headbang

says the guy who was “soon to be KA-T” like 5 months ago. george has done the SR20DET before, hes done it, saying youll do it, and having done it… one means alot more in the respect department.

If I didn’t go the route I did, I would of probably turbo a built KA or drop in a LSx, most likely the latter.

SR20’s cant be built for high horse like the KA’s can due to the aluminum block but they have an awsome powerband

its just like a honda, the block can be sleeved… because most choose not to do it, doesnt mean it cant be done.

Anything can be done, but to get serious HP out of an SR20 will cost more than most ppl want to.

What do you consider serious HP? The stock block of the sr20 has seen some pretty decent numbers.
