240sx quarter mile time.....

Any of you guys in here with sr20det swap what does an sr20det in a 240sx run in the quarter mile stock…? Just wondering i’ve seen alot of them just none stock boost or anything…

:partyman:

13’s with decent tires n driver…low 14’s with shit driver n shit tires

does that inclue an lsd?

NO!!
if the engine is stock, like he said, then low 14’s. your not gonna get 13 sec on a stock SR, guys with 250HP are doing low to mid 13s a stock 200HP is gonna be more than a couple hundreds behind!

ive heard of many people hitting 13’s on stock sr’s… just need sticky tread n a good launch

OK, maybe under the perfect conditions, with really sticky rubber ect…maybe a high 13.
but If you have really sticky rubber ect… you probably have a few mods on the SR allready as well!

true … im just going on posts that i’ve seen on here and on nico… people with smic’s and exhaust and open dif’s were hitting 13’s… as long as the tires arent like bald motomaster’s or something i think its possible!

Im prety sure some guys hit 13s with stock SR’s.

Also depends on track, i mean i dont see many cars here that should be in the 13’s hitting em… or maybe we just dont have any good drivers? Heheh.

Pull the wastegate line off and get a good launch on a properly running SR20 and you should be in the 13’s…With a good driver. :E

if by stock SR you mean… a stock 180, i’d say 13s… no.

but if you mean SR dropped into a 240, which obviously would have a high flowing exhaust, intake etc. then yah maybe

I guess I should of refrased my question a bit, If you are going to do a sr20det swap into a 240sx, then you would have a fmic, intake, exhaust…What I meant is like stck boost levels, and stock tires(not ruined but ok…), intermediate driver such as my self,(can shift pretty good and get crazy launched…In a honda though, never in a rear wheel drive, probably A bit diffrent…), and that is it, I have asked a couple of people they say low 14’s all day long, a high 13 on a good run…

Anyways guys thanks for the inpt it is appreciated…Buying my first nissan next week…sr20 swappeded coupe…should be sweet…

A little different! Fuck man its not even close to the same

Plus if your looking on Nico most of those guys are sea level which also accounts for a couple tenths

with the usual mods on stock t25 and around 9-10psi you should be in the 13’s. Mine is basically stock besides some bolt ons and runs low 13’s.

with intake, exhuast, FMIC, and good tires, at stock boost you might be able to touch a high 13. but with those mods you are safe to up the boost to 13psi, and then you will really be in the 13’s!

When I got my S14 sr20 swapped into my S14 I ran a 14.3. This was on stock 195 width winter tires and the only engine mod was a bov and a ricey fart can.

Good tires and a boost controller you’d hit 13’s. Not a doubt about that in my mind.
