yeah that completely makes sense, that would probably be the best thing to do forsure.
actually incase you werent aware hicas does not work below 40 mph.
and it does not help you get into parking spots, it also does not turn the opposite direction at slower speeds.
it was invented to help counter understeer in hard cornering and make highspeed lane changes smoother that is why the wheels turn the same direction as the front.
that is why if you corner hard in a hicas car it feels like your back end is sliding when it is actually planted.
Uhmm… Brakes brakes brakes, and chassis. Suspension is secondary. Power is last.
whoa thats so confusing…but very neat i guess
Man, i’m sick of people saying that HICAS is bad for drifting. Who here has actually tried it?
I drift with HICAS and have absolutely no problems. If you can’t drift with HICAS you shouldn’t be trying to drift at all.
what you all got done to your car?
when your hicas tie rod breaks, tell us how you drift with one wheel flapping around.
ive seen it happen, its not pretty

ya and im sure that happened because he was drifting and no because the tie rods needed to be changed anyways

lol, i know the tie rods are more prone to getting damaged when drifting… but as Sasha said, if it’s weak enough to be broken, it’s about time to have it replaced anyway.
P.S. i’ve been beating the shit out of my car and haven’t had anything happen to le tie rods yet.
well ill leave it as, its your own preference…if you like hicas then good for you and if you don’t then thats cool. its just my opinion and mine alone. you have yours and i have mine, at the end its all the same 8).
this is why i like forums, you get everyones opinion.
i drift in hicas, before it broke.
i heard that hicas activated when the hicas light turns on…
if so…mine was always on…?
also, after i changed my speedo cluster, the light doesn’t come on anymore…i hope its totally disabled by default…haha
uhm, as far as I know the hicas light is on when something is wrong, its red eh, red = bad
Mine (last car) usually turned off after I topped off the fluid. And in the winter it was usually on for 20 minutes or until the car was warm.
the light just means that something (wish i could tell you what, 'cause i don’t know) was wrong with teh hicas system, and so the rear wheels are locked in place.
when the light is on it means its not working…
so there for if it runs off a computer… it should be able to be un plugged or disabled…right?
my lights always on…frig!
unplug your HICAS fuse and the rear will lock in place, but it’s still susceptible to play, so it’s better to block it off with a trusty Kazama lock bar or just swap your subframe.
Oh, and reroute/plug/replace your PS lines.
