Don’t be SOOO mean. If the battery is new then you could’ve gotten a faulty battery. If you got a spiral cell battery like an Optima and you’ve let it drain completely dead then that battery is usually as good as toast. But the cheapest easiest check is to make sure that the positive lead is properly bolted onto the correct place on the starter.
EDIT - Unless of course, your clicking is more like a CLUNKING… Then you have problems. How old is your “new” battery anyway?
