250's thread

I wanna make this thread about 250’s and peoples experiences with them past and present, cruisers or sports bikes, some people I meet say you can not highway ride 250s which i think is a lie!!! My friend has the same year rebel as me and swears it can hit 80 and some-days 85, not safely but will travel 65 easy for hwy travel, whats your 250 experiences? personally I love how im starting to feel very comfortable on mine with riding, and nothing beats there amazing mileage ratings! and the reason I am asking Im looking into either making my rebel into a bobber now, (more high of a budget than my dads build) couple K to work with… or get a ninja 250 and do the extended swingarm and bigger rear tire. But I wanted some personal professional XP stories and ideas!

I have no complaints with the time I spent on the kawi 250 I just WISH I had one now.

After all of the kawi hate I heard the other night you want an ex250? :rofl Go figure!

I definitely would like one for myself though. Took my msf on a totally dumpy one and loved every minute of it. Cool little bikes.

The guy who as on the black kawi that sped off with the gixxer, it sounded like crap. Lord knows what he did to it. Now the guy on the new ZX-10 I wouldn’t mind riding that thing.:excited

I’ll try to get some pics of my 250 when I get the chance. I gotta sneak out to VT and register that thing in the near future.

Just found this epicness

that thing is sweeeet!!!

nice

DUDE that street fighter Ninja 250 is TITS!

So is the rebel up top.

I would rock one for sure. Dont need anything fast when you look cool going slow… allows people to take in the work on the bike when your not clutch dumping a 100mph wheelie past them!

I miss my ex250, if there is a class for it at loudon, I will probably be racing it instead of the sv. great learner bike and forgiving handling. The only issue is suspension, especially if you are over 160 lbs.

The EX500 front shocks and Sv rear shocks fit right?

nice go pro set up!!

Vlad’s, not mine. :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

That green ninja looks stupid as fuck

^agree. Stretched 250? For what.

Everything else ITT is awesome.

I dont even want more than a 250 99% of the time, bike is fine on the highway also, just a bit slower than the rest since it doesnt seem to enjoy being above 80, getting close to 100mpg is sweet to!

yeah I thought it was a sweet location, I thought I was getting fucked by encon a minute after when I saw a 4x4 riding the tracks, but luckily it was just a group of people on quads so no tickets today!
All from todays short (2.5-3 hour) ride

250s are the shit!

ok I have made up my mind, I am going thru with making my rebel a bobber like my dads, but with a higher budget, buying all brand name parts from blue collar bobbers site, going to look super close to the first pic, same rear fender, spring seat, and deff getting a white wall, changing everything but the tank and frame, also going to do a hardtail conversion:) time to do some research and start a parts list now, ride this bike all this season stock and end of fall order all parts and commense a slower but nicer build and get custom paint:)

Oh, nice!

I love a hard tail conversion, just make sure you know what you are getting into interms of ride and handling. If that bike is/will be somthing purely for fun, it is fine; but if you intend to use it also as transportation, it might be an issue.

Do create a build thread, would love to see how it goes! :excited
