just starting the hunt for a clean 2jz swap with 6 speed. dont know to much stuff about them or were to look so any help would be appreciated.

Best bet would be to hunt Supraforums Regional Classifieds for something like that honestly.

Go onto supraforums… that’s where you can get everything and anything you need.

I think you could get a motor for a couple grand… tranny is a different story… 4k+ and there are a bunch for sale right now on there

thanks, ill see what i can find. just looking for 750 on E and 500 dd just enough to have fun. looking to build something i can actually drive and enjoy. not trying to be fast lol

billet 67mm would get you pretty close to that on E. some standalone as well obv.

whats a good system to manage this thing? im building this car to actually drive so im looking for something with good drive ability. do they have any tried and true systems like hondata for honda’s

Aem/ Pro Efi are both good.

I like my HkS but i may be the minority.

That will be plenty enough to “have fun” might be faster than the civic. You could run on E-85 daily driving. Me and Turbo Trav do it as well as a hand full of other shift members.

why not use the R154 tranny, much cheaper and easyer to find.

Turbo 400! much cheaper, easier to find, both hands to saw at that wheel until some traction occurs.

i found a car most of the way swapped it has a 154 in it. i just know the 6 speeds are bullet proof and i dont feel like spending$ on something that wont last. im the spend it once and dont mind what it cost kinda guy

also wondering if having the vvti is a must or not.
