so i posted this yesterday on another forum but figured since nyspeed was back up i should throw it up on here too…
well after selling my s4 in october i thought i should pick up something for a replacement. after months of research and trying to decide what i should get i pulled the trigger on a 996. the plan was for erik and myself to fly out to utah on wed, pick up the car and start our journey home.
well the flight out of buffalo was delayed 20 min then we ended up circling jfk airport for about an hr cause apparently they are down to 1 runway currently. well we missed our connecting flight to SLC by 10 min. the next flight we could catch was 10 hrs later so we were stranded for the night until 640 am the next morning. i was able to get about an hr of sleep on a luggage cart then a few more on the plane ride to SLC.
we ended up getting into utah thurs around 1030 then met up with the seller who was really the nicest guy ive met in awhile. picked erik and myself up from the airport and had a gift basket ready for us filled with redbull, painters tape, and food for our trip.
after taping it all up we started on our journey through 9 states…
Awesome man. Glad to see you finally got one, I know you’ve been looking for a while. I saw this thing for sale on 6Speed, Looks like a super dope car. Also that is by far the most extensive tape job i have ever seen ILI. If you wanna get some decent photos of this thing hit me up, id love to shoot it sometime.
yeah man id love to get some nice new shots of the car.
its a setting on the heads up menu that you can set an alarm if you exceed a certain mph of your choosing. i had it set at 90 but ended up cruising at 90/95 most of the way regardless…
its in the garage right now just waiting for spring to actually get here…
everything and more. i fucking love it so much.
truth. it is soooooooo easy to be doing triple digits and not even know it with this car. on the same token it was also really easy to keep out of boost if you were just cruising. we saw an avg of about 22/23 mpg at an avg speed of 90mph
