301 thin stainless CNC/Laser cut?

It would be 2D stuff similar to what people use for logos/decorative stuff.

.025 and .032 thickness…

Looking for suggestions on where to go…I already talked to a couple of out of town places but if I can keep it local  to Buffalo.

I used to work w/ Steve and hes done some laser cutting and forming for me in the past. Actually, hes the only laser cutter I’ve found who I’ve done repeat business with. He’s the one that cut the Nurburg items for me and definitely made the effort to pull material that was as scratch free as possible (w/o special ordering new material)

Might want to go waterjet. Used to use a company in Buffalo / Amherst but can’t put my finger on their name. Another one in Wilson (Nuclear Alloys) and I’m sure there’s more since I’ve been in the game. Also Buffalo waterjet. Waterjet might be a better option to prevent thermal distortion.

Blue Eyed Devil has a waterjet now… fyi.

Nürburgring*

Really? Thermal disortion has not been a problem since the 80’s, unless someone is uneducated and think they know what he or she is doing. Waterjet is to slow and too expensive.

I laser cut

Carbon steel up to 1" thick
Stainless up to 3/4" thick
Aluminum up to 3/8" thick

As weird as this may sound the project is lock picks…Not for anything illegal there is a pretty large market for people who compete in locksport competitions.

I have CAD files trying to figure out the best material and production prices.

Picks are pretty small you can get a lot of out of one sheet…I also have a guy who can laser etch if I want.

Someone else attempted to use kickstarter to fund/start a similar project but due to bad planning he couldn’t figure out a good way to them produced…

Gee, thanks for the beatdown. Next time I’ll just keep my mouth shut.

Thanks. I need to look into advertising on here.

That is kind of a broad statement but whatever.
I can cut ANY material in any size up to 6.5’ x 13’ x 7" THICK.

where i took a lot of my stuff. they do good work and can order whatever material you want if they don’t have it in stock.

I’m sure it was pretty cheap to buy…

Yeah, I could have used that money to pay-off my house. lol

Lasers are good for thin metals like this project but I wanted to cut everything under the sun.

Understood. If I was buying a laser, I would want to make sure it was at least a step way from being able to draw magma from the earth’s crust if required.

What kind of laser is this? We have a ULS C3 at work and it can only cut “combustible” materials. It’s a single 50w laser.

^Me? It is a Flow waterjet, they cut anything including diamonds.
