Well my sister BF got a new Z. He let me take it for a spin, and i must say its a pretty nice car, gets up an goes. So he started talking about he wanted to mod it, and i figured i would look into it for him, and i bsed on the net the other day for parts, and really didnt come up with much, a few intake, catbacks, greddy turbo kit, and thats about it. What is out there for these cars, with a turbo setup what kind of boost can you run on the VQ before it goes?

I would highly recommend AGAINST TT or SC w/o building the engine up, lots of ppl have blown their engines b/c of poor or no tuning. I read all about it all the time. Ends up costing $10K or more.
There are plenty of bolt ons you can do to get a few more hp, intake, exhaust, plenum or plenum spacers.
I’d suggest checking out some of these sites, they have a wealth of information on all kinds of mods.

I have to disagree w/ Whitey on the exhausts, there are lots of nice sounding exhausts out there for the Z33. Just depends upon what you are looking for as far as sound goes. If you have any questions or have any problems on the sites, let me know, I’ve been on most of them a couple of years, and mod on two and admin on Zchickz so if you need help w/ search or anything let me know! 
350Z has paper for pistons
I’d hate to swap out the exhaust. The stock exhaust sounds perfect. I don’t know how restrictive it is though.

(most of the 03 colors were named after racetracks, LeMans Sunset, Daytona Blue, Brickyard, Pikes Peak White…) Only about 2200~2400 or there abouts brought to the states, 03 production color only. Be on the look out for the '06’s tho, introducing “Intarlagos Fire” VERY close to the Brickyard. Which pisses me off but oh well. Brickyard paint code= AX8 the Intarlogos Fire looks to have less gold fleck in it that the brick. That’s from pics tho, I am interested in seeing it up close.
clearly not streching your google legs. Basically any bolt on and internal you can think of is avalible for the 350z now. Bulletproofautomotive.com has more rare JDM brands, also one of the most reliable and noticable NA mods would be the 3.9 gears from 350evo. Or lightweight flywheel since the stock ones are pigs. You can go NA and take things pretty far. As far as TT force induc. there’s greddy, aps, JWT, Power Enterprise. Turbonetics and APS make single turbo kits that have proven to be pretty safe. Like anything with so many people in different climates with different tuners there is bound to be stories of blown motors. There’s always people on the 350z forums that are pissed because they kept the stock tune and up the boost and their motors threw up. He has plenty of options for the Z and Forced induc is not scary as long as he’s not a fruit fly.
