Ya. I have the pinout and diagram to build the cable somewhere to get into board but the doc was so dry and more like notes from people and dev teams. The money would be people would pay you $100 to unban the console versus paying $200 to get a new one was my logic in playing around with it.
There is specific kernel versions that are open to the timing attack and the time to actually break the key and reflash a new one.
Then anytime MS released a new dashboard and system which was about twice a year, you had to download it yourself and find ways to exploit the security on that kernel to apply the new key becuase if you downloaded it right from Xbox, you work was toast.
Also, MS uses the efuses or whatever they are called in the processor to prevent you from going backwards on certain versions.
BuickGN: any idea what might have caused it yet? played an early release? bad burn or rip like about a year ago when they banned a ton of consoles for having bad video partitions on some of the newer games? or a possibility that they found a new way to check the discs and no c/r yet is built into the firmware?
