4.10 gears on LS1

i’ve been talking to this guy about a car i might buy. it is a c5 w/ some bolt-ons and 4.10 gears. he claimed he only raced it once. my question is, with those gears am i gonna be losing alot of top end vs stock? i don’t really care about 1/4 mi racing that much, so stock would be fine for me. if the 4.10s give better acceleration, thats fine, but i dont want the driveablility to be gone. how would this thing be on the highway? i liked how my LT1 would pull 70MPH in 6th at like 2000RPM…is this possible w/ the 410s?..i’m guessing not. any input on how i should expect this thing to run in different situations?

if you don’t like it, I’ll trade you my stock 3.42’s.

plan and simple!
is it a stick if so 410 are a go! 6speed ownes!
if its an auto the 410 not fun

6th gear at 70 i wouod say 2000-2500 rpms

F-body gears will not work in C5 vettes!

4.10 in stick,3.73 auto

its a 6spd. so 4.10s remain similar driveablity as stock in all situations, but pulls harder during accel?

just buy it believe me you will like the 410 gears!
fuel economy is not considered a performance option :greddy2:

4.10s or 4.30s in a stick, dont fear the gear. I saw 1800rpms in 6th with 4.10s in my old M6 SS

with or without the ZO6???/ :hs:

had toooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! :hahano:

4.10s rock …i want a seet in my v6

4.30’s going in my new 12 bolt.

go 4.56’s and run a 28" tall :blue:

Thought about it real hard but I might have rubbing issues.

then 4.30s and ET’s will be your best bet then… but man the 4.56/28" combo would be nuts

be too fucking sick

With the gearing you have now at 2000 RPM you should be doing 90 MPH. So I am willing to bet with the 4.10’s you should be able to pull 70MPH at 2000 RPM no problem.
