It was probably a hidden cam. The news guy was probably afraid he’d get shot! :rimshot:

It says cell phone recording.

The fuck’s a mohawk ball?

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Witness interview with police officer at Hogan Willig Law Firm on August 17, 2010. Name has been changed to protect the witness. Will only be referred to as “witness.”

Witness arrived at City Grill on August 15th at 11:00. Scheduled event: Birthday party or some special invitation only event. Inside the club there were approximately 250 people. Outside the club 60-70 people gathered.

At 1:30 am, City Grill Management stopped letting individuals into the club unless they had a wrist band on for the party. The party continued forward. At approximately 2:00-2:15 am an argument broke out on the dance floor.

One of the security guards walked a group out the door, past the witness. A guy had a “Mohawk ball” in his hand. This is some sort of liquor container; security guard took the liquor container out of the individual’s hand. There were two guys starting to fight over the Mohawk ball while they were coming out of the club.

Witness did not recognize this guy, first time they saw him. The second guy said to the first guy with the Mohawk ball: “Let it go; let’s get out of here; let it go.” Witness knew that trouble was starting. Two men were talking very aggressively and witness believed trouble was going to start.

Witness called 911 at approximately 2:30 am and was put on hold for around two minutes. Records show it was a minute and 29 seconds. Witness told the dispatcher not to put them on hold and that they needed help right away because things were going to escalate. Witness wanted police to respond with sirens to disperse the troublemakers.

First fight:
A fight broke out, they started fighting “real hard”; witness hung up the phone because of the fight and the confusion. Someone who worked at City Grill sprayed certain troublemakers in the group with mace.

“The guy in the purple shirt said something about wanting to “snuff a guy.”” Then this Group moved to the right of City Grill. A guy jumped over the gate with the Mohawk ball and hit the guy with the Mohawk ball. A security guard sprayed mace at the violent patrons.

The fight broke up and everyone started to walk across the street in front of City Grill. Witness had hands full with the sprayed patrons and chaos, even though the fight had subsided for the moment.

Witness saw about 15-20 guys gathering in a circle across the street from the club. About four or five minutes passed since witness hung up with the 911 operator. Witness walked across the street when witness heard the first shot, followed by two more shots. A man fell down, witness saw him fall.

Witness started to run back to the bar and was followed by bystanders who wanted to get into a more secure location for their safety. Witness got to the door of the club, when the glass broke and a bullet went through the window of the club, striking a girl in the neck. 10-15 girls were right behind the witness running to the bar for protection.

The guy was still shooting, while witness and the girls were trying to get to safety. Shots were still ringing out. Then the shots stopped. Afterwords witness went outside the club. Girl’s body to the left of witness, she was still breathing. The girl bartender was doing mouth-to-mouth on her.

The wife of Willie McCaa - a man who was shot and killed - was working on him, administering futile aid. Across the street where the gun play started, two guys were laying in front, and they were still breathing. First cop arrived on the scene and witness told him that some of the people were still alive.

Officers continued to put tape up and no one attended to the medical needs of the victims. Witness told the cop that the people needed a paramedic, but the officers continued to put the tape up. Paramedic walked up to the scene. There were at least a dozen or more cops at the scene. Firefighters arrived on the scene after the paramedics; the people were dead at this point.

Google search came up with nothing… the internet has failed us, lol.

A man wanted for questioning in the mass shootings at the City Grill earlier this month has turned himself in to authorities at WIVB-TV studios in Buffalo.

Initial reports stated that Riccardo McCray surrendered to authorities at Channel 4 studios after arriving with community activist Darnell Jackson around 2 p.m. Police spokesman Michael J. DeGeorge would not confirm these details, saying only that a “person of interest” turned himself in.

McCray, 23, was taken into custody around 2:25 p.m. after arriving at the station’s Elmwood Avenue studios along with community activist Darnell Jackson.

Station officials said they immediately contacted Erie County District Attorney Frank Sedita and Buffalo Police.

McCray has a previous criminal record in Buffalo. In May 2009, he was arrested with a loaded rifle in his car.

In that incident, Ferry-Fillmore District police, responding to a call of shots fired at Genesee Street and Koons Avenue, arrested McCray with a loaded Bushmaster rifle in the front seat of his car.

When officers arrived at about 11:10 p.m., they noticed McCray changing a flat tire on his car, Police Officer Joseph Walters said.

Taking a closer look, officers noticed several bullet holes in the rear and driver’s side of the vehicle, prompting Lt. Steve Nichols to check inside the vehicle, where he saw the rifle, which had six rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber.

At the time, McCray had a Donovan Drive address. He was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

In April of this year, McCray was arrested along with five other people and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon.

Quite the classy gentleman.

Who thinks he’s actually the shooter though? I have my doubts the trigger man is going to just turn himself in.

Could have been pressured by family/friends…

Who cares? It’s not like its gonna stop the gang violence either way. Whatever gang war they had going on, will continue.

He must have had a criminal record which included a felony, otherwise I don’t see why he would have been arrested and charged with criminal possession of weapon. Even if it is loaded and in the car. Or of course if it was an illegally modded ar15

whatever… who hasnt had weapons or possession charges against them?

Or at least been guilty of it at one time or another…

Oh cmon, you canadians hate violence  lol.

Honestly even if he isn’t the shooter, throw him in jail anyways, one less scumbag on the street.

You’re not allowed to carry a loaded rifle in a vehicle.

That’s where the criminal possession charge came from.

Does he have Facebook?

“I feel bad for the people who were shot. I have sympathy for their families, but everybody has a reason for what they do. Something had to cause that [shooting to happen],” said a 22-year-old resident who would only identify himself as “Coogi.”

“Nobody gets shot for nothing,” he said. “You don’t know if they threatened to kill him. We don’t know what really happened in that bar. I hate it when they say there is no reason for murder. There’s always a reason.”

Another young man, who asked that he be only identified by his nickname, “Ruger-Hella-Rella” – a nod to the handgun brand known as Ruger – offered praise for McCray.

“That’s my man. I don’t know if he did it, but I hope he beats it,” the young man said.

Asked if McCray belonged to a gang, Coogi declined to comment, explaining most young people in their circumstances are members of a group they’ve grown up with.

Ugh. Genocide is looking attractive the more I read about this case.

Coogi and ruger-hella-rella
