5 speed swap

Hey

Can someone confirm what parts are all needed for a 5 speed swap ?

-tranny ,flywheel & bolts,shifter
-clutch pedal ,master,lines ,damper,slave
-template for firewall holes
-driveshaft ?

Please add to list if you see something is missing.

Thanks John

You do not need a template for the firewall holes. You can see the outline already on the firewall. It is like they stamped it in, but didn’t cut it out. Just drill through. I used a hole cutter bit to make the big hole.

You also need the bellhousing bolts. Some of the auto ones are different.

You only need the front of a 5 speed driveshaft. Doesnt really matter if it is ABS or not, because you can combine the back of your auto one with the front of the 5 speed one, so it will work regardless.

You need the 5 speed tranny crossmember as well.

Pilot bushing

clutch release fork and sleeve (should come with tranny)

New throwout bearing.

PLEASE DO NOT PUT THE DAMPER IN. IT IS A WASTE OF LIFE AND MAKES BLEEDING THE CLUTCH ALOT HARDER.

along with the shifter there is a rubber condom thing to keep fluid in, then another rubber boot/braket to keep stuff out of the interior, then there is also the interior trim piece, but you can get away with just a leather shifter boot and the little tab thingy’s that hold it to the plastic trim.

Driveshaft, ABS/nonABS, the ABS is a bit shorter IIRC
