Front grill and bumper is all assembled
Kind of empty in the engine compartment. Think weāll put something in there.
To be continuedā¦
looking good joeā¦
Joe, I think Iāll be joining you pretty soon.
Well, itās back home. It will be going back to the shop in a month to get some finishing work done and the motor started and tuned.
Color is awesome in the sun. Even needing a clean up. Canāt wait to put it back together.
Iām going to start cranking away at it when we get back from SEMA. Iāll look for some more goodies while Iām there.
Tucked away in my garage waiting to get worked on.
All those boxes on the side are parts on top of the new interior.
absolutely sexy
:word: lookin great
Suspension looks loaded in the front - I take it you got the engine in? Nice progress!

Good call. Yup, the engine is in. I still need to get the waterpump, starter, alternator, carb, etc on it. But the block and tranny are in. And it looks wonderful
The tranny is a 2004r and since it is a longer tranny, I need to get a different crossmember. Trial and error. For now, we have the turb 350/400 crossmember upside down and backwards so it at least lines up with 2 holes and it will hold the tranny up. This is what I have to buy next.

And still plenty of room even after an engine is in there.
And the best part is hardly any wiring. Nice and clean
Then you realize that you coulda went bigger lol
His is going to be nowhere near any of this. :eekdance: Gonna keep that X-member black?
Oh I know.
Back in the day. $5,000 for a z28ā¦ What Iād do just to go back in time and buy likeā¦ 5 of these lol
Crossmember will be black. Basically keeping with 3 colors.
Blue on the majority of the visible pieces. Black on the underbody and some of the engine or underhood components. And silver/grey/chrome on a few other parts. And of course, the white rally stripes.
$5000 for a new one. If I had a time machines, Iād get a garage that would hold 200 cars (climate controlled) and go nuts with purchases.
Having a color scheme and not deviating from it - half the battle. Sounds gude heah
if i had a time machine, holy fuck ā¦ i could aquire the worlds largest collection of priceless vehicalsā¦ and with some tech from the future i could bury it on land i KNOW noone has ever touched ā¦ it would all be waiting for me when i returned to the day i originaly left ā¦
id use my money to imprison bill gates, and he would be forced to feed me peanuts, and then pick them from my shit and flush them independantly from the shit itself (punishment for never improving windows)
Tinkered around in the garage tonight.
Installed the new taillight lenses and cleaned up the sockets and housing.
Removed everything from the dash except some of the wiring. Cleaing out all the dirt and soda blast residue. Then will repaint the dash when Iām done.
The instrument cluster will get some slight updates
A previous owner cut out the lower panel for an aftermarket radio. So triple guages will be going in there.
The goal now is to get the dash all cleaned up and repainted. Interior will go in within the next 2 weeks after sound deadener goes in. Then I will have much more room to move in the garage. Iām working on cleaning up and organizing the wiring as I go along. Itās not a rats nest of wiring like you would dread.
