69 Camaro resto - It's ALIVE! - no 56k

gonna look hot man!

No crap. I got to get my ass moving on the electrical. I haven’t heard from your fan guy yet.

I’ll get on him and see what’s up.
My cowl came in today.

You make a decision on rubber yet?

Holy shit those wheels are gonna be the secks on your car

i had to touch a set of those once before …100psi from my compressor (administered slowly) showed 10psi of pressure on the gauge

shortly there after, the boost gauge became a part of the pavement … via a steel plate and a 20 pound sledge

nice wheels joe!!! god this car is going to rock

Yay! Success over a big obstacle.

Camaro’s had different heater core and heater core covers for big and small blocks. Being that my Camaro was originally a 6 banger, it had the small block setup. But when you drop in a big block, the heater core lines would hit against the valve covers and rub and pull. The big block heater core setup flips the heater core around and runs the lines in the center of the heater core cover, away from the motor. (Notice original holes to right of picture)

Hence doing the mod to make a small block heater core cover into a big block one.

Make measurements, get a new heater core, and install the big block heater core bracket, and drill some big holes into a painted heater core cover and you get SUCCESS

Now to reassemble the heater core and box, and to finish rewiring under the dash. New battery, and engine fan should be here this week.

Wheels and tires have been ordered. Tires will be here this week, wheels in about 2 weeks

Are there plugs or what-not to cover up the old holes? I’m sure you’ve got it “covered” (haha) but wanted to see if they were getting filled or not.

I can’t find any good grommets to coer them, so I might have a friend make an aluminum panel for them. But the great news is I got the heater core and heater box reinstalled last night after a ton of fidgeting.

Maybe take a look at these…some pretty nice stuff there.

Joe you comming over to drill mine out now? LOL
Looks good

Get yourself a step drill bit. Makes life a hell of a lot easier. I wish I did this months ago! But 2 for 3 of the major hurdles. I’m still trying to figure out the pulleys, then thats the last major hurdle

Nothing major to report. Been doing a lot of the time consuming detail pain in the ass work.

But…

Got my tires last week, and rims came in today.

Will have them mounted to my 18" Billet Specialties and ready this weekend

I’ll probably have them on Monday and of course, I have to mount 2 up to get the look

freakin sexy

 Not the heavy either. And a ton of bling factor

Them are some phat rims, cant wait to see them on the car

I’ve seen this car in person. It’s all a fraud, it’s actually a four-door '78 Nova, turd brown, with a straight six, faded bench seat and a “Vote for Carter” sticker on the trunklid.

And the sticker’s crooked. :nono: :lies: :hondalover:

Seriously, it’s gonna drop some jaws. It’s magazine quality. And it oughta scoot, too.

I’m going to mount 2 rims just to see what it looks like on Monday.

So is your Ford Maverick done?

Hey buddy, it’s a Pinto. Get it straight. :stuck_out_tongue:

My car shouldn’t be seen with yours, it’s like the fat chick that always hangs out with the honey at the bar.
