Doing even standing burnouts in cars like that with just a tiny little guardrail between the cars and spectators is stupid. Doing one at 80+ should be criminally negligent homicide.
You have to wonder if something went wrong with the car though, like the throttle sticking. The guy is an experienced drag racer, you’d think he would have shut it down.

It was really weird. The guy was supposed to just do a burnout. Didn’t he know he was out of control? It seems like he just kept on it until the car was upside-down. ???
^ Which is why I’m wondering if there was some kind of mechanical failure. I could see if some noob hopped in the car and tried to do a burnout, but this guy is a pro. From what you can see in the vid it looked like the car was still full throttle when it went off.
