Good call, Mike will have a pretty cool tune for that set up! How does the exhaust sound when its in 4 banger mode? I really want to swap in a custom VVT cam, new lifters, thick head gaskets and a nice 80mm turbo in the GMC. God I hate these additions.

You can’t hear our trucks when they are in V4 mode. It only goes into V4 mode when you totally let off of the gas to decelerate, or when you are cruising around at 1800rpm or less. As soon as you step on the gas even a little bit hard, it goes into V8 mode.
The DOD was turned off on my GMC when I purchased it. I wonder how well it would work with a big ol’ lock up stall. The 4000 yank in my wife’s truck has a lock up in OD which could coincide with the DOD. Maybe continue the DOD until 2500rpm and up to 30% throttle to save some on fuel? hummm
So at idle you can’t hear a difference?
You would have to have open exhaust or similar to hear it. My truck has stock exhaust so it’s pretty quiet. You can’t tell when it drops down to V4 mode while you are driving unless you are looking at the display. You can “feel” it at certain times when you go from V4 into V8 mode, but you can barely hear anything.
My wife’s is super loud lol, prolly why it was turned off.
Mine has more drone in v4 mode for sure. But not to the pOint of being a head ache at all. The turbo and v4 should be fine

I fired it yesterday!
started right up and idled down to 650. no oil leaks, no coolant leaks, but the v bvand from turbo to downpipe leaked a little bit. ill re seat them and crank it down.
Need to install the check valve and BOV with some ricer gauges and then ill take it for a rip.

What kind of 1/4 time are you hoping for?? 12s?
Short term is to beat brothers SRT8 that runs 13.1 at 103. Prolly gonna be a while before that happens. It’s got the 4lb spring in it now just to make sure everything is good. Once I’m comfortable w it and do some more research I’ll go up to 6 and keep it there till I have a spare tranny and upgraded pump and injectors.
Long term is 500 wheel
