just email some of your local suby dealers and let them know about the deal, i’m sure if they have a few in their current inventory they’d be willing to deal. you may not get 7k but i could see around 4-5 for sure.

It seems that people are able to get this deal all over but only at higher volume dealers. I was shown the email from SOA that was sent on 11/4 to the dealers regarding this deal. Their payout from SOA basically works like this:
If they sell the following numbers of STIs between 11/4 and 12/31 they get the following:
0-1 Cars - 0$
2-3 Cars - $2500 per car
3-4 Cars - $3500 per car
5+ Cars - $5000 per car
They sell 5 cars they get back $25,000.
The total sold includes 08 and 09 STIs sold but they only recieve the money for the 08s sold.
There is a dealer in bolder Colorado that has sold 31 STIs in 10 days. SOA will have to cut them a check for $155,000.

I went today fully intending to drive one home, a few issues.
The interior still felt “less than” my 05 LGT (meaning cheap, with the exception of the steering wheel). Add on no heated seats, homelink, auto climate or jumbo sun roof.
The car felt tall when I was inside. I don’t know, just odd.
It wasn’t much faster than my LGT although it did have a much better suspension (go figure mine is old and crusty). Brakes were a toss, for a street car.
Cargo room went down a notch.
Color combo was much better, white/black as opposed to white/tan.
No gold rims at any dealer w/o Nav (not a biggie, I’d just buy them, but still).
I don’t know, I was all bonered up this morning and then left with blue balls this evening. I still almost feel like pulling the trigger for 0%/63mos just to reset my ODO…
What specifically do you mean with the interior?
What do you mean ‘brakes were a toss’?
Cargo room (or interior quality) certainly did not go down a notch, at least compared to the previous gen Impreza. With the seats folded down you can fit a ridiculous amount of ‘stuff’.
You can get homelink, and it does have climate control. It’s just not digital.
I agree that it does seem tall inside. Even giant people can fit in there with a helmet. The only reason I can think of for this is to make a nicely shaped roof, and give the back seat people plenty of room.
It’s definitely a different car from the LGT. Everything is tighter and more crisp. I wish they’d make a Legacy with the Sti trans, and springs/struts.

nah, repainted the new ones, used testors candy red translucent paint and it is 100% better finish. All though I liked the darker red of the last paint I used, the finish just sucked.
