7PSI stock motor?

i picked up a 5.0 mustang, and yes its old my 2nd V8, my other being a classic that has gotten 70 miles this year. this one i want to built a bit. i was looking into a blower system. the cars current mods are as listed
71,000 miles.
auto with shift kit and tranny cooler.
5 lug swap with 97 gt wheels.
trunk mount battery.
headers, off road h, jardine exhaust.
alarm w/ remote start.
msd distributor
black magic fan
southside lowers.
e303 cam

now if i bought a blower system and ran 7PSI would i be fine?
also if i got a wideband would i need to create 2 bungholes and run 2 o2 sensors?

If anything like turbo, i think it would depend on the specific blower and pulley size as to how much 7psi truly is.

also, lol at bunghole. bungs would have sufficed.

lol bung/bunghole whatever, but it is a 7psi pully so i would think being pully driven be way more accurate than exhaust driven device.

Derricks old notch??? sounds like the same specs. 5.0 mag did a bolt turbo from one of the well know mustang turbo manufacturers and the car made something like 400+ just with the turbo kit. Car was stock. I think the 400+ dyno pull was on 11 or 12 psi. I wanna say the kit focuses on 7 psi so u should be good. Derrick would be the man to ask/PM

No charger will net ya 7psi …

if it’s my old novi 1000 kit … it is setup for 6psi … and should get ya almost 100hp at the crank

blower would no problem as l as you get a fuel pump and injectors to support it. A wideband wouldn’t be nec. if you get a customtune using a chip.

injectors and FMU or a custom tuned chip

might need to retard timing too. I would get a MSD 6AL box with retard plugins considering how easy and convenient they are

Injectors, cartech or equivalent FMU, maybe an adjustable FPR to set base pressure. I ran 6 PSI on a 2.4 safely with that.

my dd autotragic 95 neon with 90k and piston slap handled a 50 shot of NOS during the summer months just fine, if youre gonna go the way of a blower, go the WHOLE way, its winter, dont shortcut it, u got plenty of time to rebuild that engine, otherwsie NOS ITTTTTTTTT, my .02

do it so we can race.

meet your maker sonny.

are you trying to call out my 110whp dodge neon to a dual? so be it destiny will be fulfilled

well great now i feel left out :uhh:

Depends on the size of the blower as to whether or not your motor can handle the CFM it will be pushing at 7 psi. Blowers are just like turbos in the sense that psi per cfm changes with the size of the forced induction device.

off topic but, i was just lookin at your sig articzap, do you know what happend to andys 240 (original sin) i believe he had one stored in sum barn before he moved away, i tried iming him but he didnt answer me, he sell it? heard it was pretty quick

His black one was sold. I don’t know of any others that he had.
