I’m well aware that the date chistmas falls on is not the actual birthday of Jesus christ. According to the bible, he was born roughly 6 months after his counsin, John the Baptist, and the fact that he was born at the time when they had to pay their taxes would have put his actual D.O.B. around late summer. The Catholics started celebrating christmas Dec.25th to base it around the winter solctice, which was a pegan holiday in an attemp to convert more pegans to their belief system. HOWEVER, Christmas is still the day that we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. As was it’s origional meaning.

I guess they took him to a retreat or something with the whole family the previous weekend so he decided to draw this, he was probably just relating back to the lessons
the principle and teacher questioned him, by himself in their office… which isnt very fair. i guess he told them it was jesus twice, but they kept asking him like stupid adults do, and then he said it was him
even tho it clearly looks like jesus and not the little kid, if it was supposed to be the little kid, i think he would have shaded in the body

i was raised roman catholic, and to be honest, the picture the kid drew is NOTHING compared to the creepiness that plasters the walls inside a roman catholic church.
I clearly remember my image of jesus from church: a long haired guy wearing a loincloth hanging on a cross, bleeding profusely from his hands and feet from where the giant spikes were piercing through, a crown of thorns on his head with a decent flow of blood running down his face, and a nice spear being stabbed into his rib cage. Don’t forget all the crying men and women at his feet.

Never knew about this Krampus character. Interesting.
I saw on CNN today an interview with school officials and what not and they pretty much said this was not part of any exercise the teacher was implementing, the boy had brought the drawing with him and his name was written in place of where jesus should be. So the teacher went to administrators out of concern that something was wrong.
The boy was never suspended they just sent him to talk with a professional to make sure nothing else was going on.
The dad is making a big deal because he wants to sue the school for free money. Read that article and at the bottom his quote is a dead give away
