91 TSI AWD Turbo, AUTO only 72K Original Miles. I picked this car up about 2 or 3 months ago non running to fix it. I got everything as good as im gonna get it. I went through the whole car. Previous owner had the valves redone because it overheated then couldn’t get it running after it was back together. So I did alot of diagnostics and reading and found it to be the diodes on the computer, after I replaced the comp it fired right up. So what I have done with the car sinse ive had it. Put a new computer in, all new brakes and rotors replaced the water pump and did the timing while I had it apart, new throttle body and ISC motor cause it had an idle issue that cleared that up can still use a tune though, replaced the intake manifold gasket, new battery, car has all new matching tires, 3 inch exhaust all the way back with a flow master muffler from previous owner id never do that lol. Overall the car is in great condition for the year, Turbo Spools up great no shaft play. Ive found one surface rust spot on the door jam on the driver side that’s it shown in picture. Underbody is clean. Couple dings here and there. The headliner cloth is gone still has the insulation just needs to be re upholstered. One panel on the driver side by the seat belt broke off shown in pictures. Car runs and drives had it inspected last month. I would like to try and get 2300 or BO not looking for any trades sorry guys. I know its a long shot but gotta try and re coupe parts and all the time I got in it. This would be good for someone to swap a 14b, 450s in and have a nice winter car. Im looking for a DD/winter car early so if this other deal falls through i might jump on this. GLWS!!
wait… I thought these came with 14b turbos. Or am I remembering wrong? It’s been awhile since Iv’e been into DSMs lol. Someone correct me here if I’m wrong.
top of the motor was redone yes, and yes it was, I finished the car the person that had it was clueless and couldn’t get it running and after I did found the rest of the stuff that needed to be done, and finished it could use a tune and the tires need a re balance because he let it sit for so long.
