91 teg b16a1's turbo build gone awry part Deux.

Lol ur funny sean, ill give u 1000 to not have sex for a week, i know how u are… as far as turbos, ive been reading alot that the little bit smaller turbos like s256/8 spool up a little bit faaster for more duration.

Screw spool.

off topic but w/e but do you have the turbo on your vr4 thats like the size of a basketball? what the hell is that thing?

No. The single turbo craze is ridiculous, IMHO. You are thinking of Nick who has a GT42R 3000GT but it’s FWD.

I have tiny EVOIII-16G

No, Mark (1.8tV-Dub) is referring to Sully with the red 3000gt. :nod

I believe they both run a GT42 variant of some sort. Nick’s car is going to be a highway monster.

i would take Mike’s advice and do alot of research on your own. for nothing else than just educational purposes.

when you do decide to do the fueling aspect, if you find your in need of a fuel pump I have an aeromotive A1000 fuel pump, alot with a fuel cell setup that would complete your fuel system from the rear. And to prove the point… these were parts I have to resell due to buying things that weren’t in sync with my objective.

Well i deff did a number on the block the rod wasnt even in the cylender and the rings are holding the piston together as soon as i get home ill post the pics

Ouch. What happened?? I am lost. I thought this thing wasn’t done. Did you get it back and do this already?

I think he said that he blew his engine and thats the reason why he’s going turbo. They must’ve discovered the damage during the tear-down of the engine.

Ok as i explained eairlier i blew the motor and decided to rebuild for turbo…we just tore down the motor today and the block is toast and over all the head is usable were pretty sure the crank is savable and ill post all the pics ASAP cause its late and im tired :nod

Ouch. careful with the crank. dont reuse a damaged one.

parts for these are so cheap… get them checked by a machine shop if you are unsure of they’re condition. you don’t want to make a mistake when its all reassembled, boosted, and in the car!!!

Couldn’t agree more- if nothing else, you’ll have a better idea of what’s going on with your car, whether or not you do the work yourself or have a shop do it for you. Always nice to know the details of your setup and the why’s and why not’s.

Just my $0.02…

So update us on the setup plan.

Im goin with a 57 trim t3/t4 turbonetics “street thumper” stage 3. Kooks is makeing a custom manifold.dave may or may not be makeing a custom intake manifold, external wg, deff goin with lsd, 550cc injectors, ARP hardware, skunk cams?, Might port and polish the head, And as for im doing my share of looking around at some stuff…And im doin basically most of the work under there supervision ;D

i had a t3/t4 by ITS which has the CHRA made my turbonetics… this led to my car smoking heavily under cold start and long idle. To me and what others have told me, turbonetics is a sub par company and i’m sick of messin around with junk so i’m goin with a GT series turbo. oh, and 550cc injectors isn’t going to get you to 450-500. swifts car has 880’s i belive and he’s making 450 and his fueling is pretty much maxed out as it is…

but, good luck with whatever you do.

As for the turbo…i know a guy who has the same exact one and he has never had a problem and as for the injectors a friend said i could just have them so its not like i cant upgrade seeing im not paying for them

so do you want my benson sleeved 84mm ls block and pauter rods with crank AND an endyn block girdle…?

Ill know in a couple days cause i might be able to score a better deal on anouther b16
