hey, whatever. i’m just tryin to tell ya my experiances and what a few other guys have used this similar turbo it’s hit or miss… do as you wish bro…
550’s will def not be enough.
And as for the list, I was looking for a more indepth description. What kind of Manifold (top mount, ramhorn, log), what kind of LSD (Oem, OBx, Quaife), what kind of WG not weither or not it was external, what brand BOV, why skunk cams? 99% of turbo hondas run either OEM, GSR, or ITR/CTR intake - GSR exhaust.
I don’t have a problem with inline, but I’ve also never been there. So far I am having my doubts however since their “turbo expert who does it for a living” is telling you to go with an odd turbo, and you’re still not sure on your setup.
At this point in time you should know your EXACT setup, down to what brand clamps you will be using, and what color your wide band would be. You should know the name, condition (new or used), type and price of every part that will be going on your car.
If you’re not careful this build will end up costing more then $15K easily, which I doubt you have on hand. Manifold alone is around 700 average, quaife is 800, ctr’s are 300, injectors and wideband is another 600. Thats over 2K right there for just a few parts.
I more than appriciate it im not trying to just write it off but ive seen good things outta this particular turbo…Code blue check your messages…as for everything else go ahead doubt the car me and inline i could care less ill let the car do all the talking upon completion
okkk, we willl seee :banana :nod
I’m trying to help, and telling you to plan ahead. Use whatever you want, but at least know EVERY part you’re going to use and how much it’s going to cost you. So far I’m not even sure if you know what block you’re using, nevermind having every part listed.
550CC are too small for that turbo unless you plan to run 100PSI base FP.
Anyhow, seriously, it’s a Honda. This is why Synapse > * in this area. Bring it to them. They have proven techniques. No offense but it would save you from buying obscure setups when Hondas have 234092342340923490234092390239 proven setups. Pick one of them and not your own.
Please don’t take offense to this but I see the future already. These types of projects all have a similiar beginning and always have the same outcome.
i think my buddy tony is running a turbonetics 57 trim on his lsvtec integra and he made 400whp at 17psi
and 90% of turbo hondas have little or no head work done at all. I think that should be the least of your worries right now 91 teg b16a1. May I also ask why you have to go with a b16 rather than a 1.8 or 2.0 block?
sean, i was at kaaz’s today, theres and 6 integras (from what they said) with b16’s one b18, and another one with whatever came in a 90. im pretty sure 300, and you get it in a day or too, just take toms truck up there and they put it on the bed with a forklift. very easy. i forogt the number but i know if you take rt5 (past turks) and then find cranes hollow rd on the right about 5 miles down, go til you see the junk yard on the right. also try sunshine, its off mabie ln (no joke intended) right by the mabie farm,(again no joke intended) <–When i went there for parts for my car, they had a integra there with gauage pods and exhaust (repo, no title) see if its still there.
My g/f aunt owns the mabee farm no b/s but any way i can get blocks alot cheaper than 300…idk need the stock internals i just need a bare block thanks though…Im pretty sure im goin to pick up code blues
Jays is nice, ive seen it, lol just a looonnnngg ride to get it lol,
naw the sleeved block isn’t the one you saw, thats just the GSR shortblock. the sleeve 84mm block is the one in my for sale thread…
all 90-01 integras had 1.8’s except for the 92-93 GS-R. I say buy Code Blue’s block that is already sleeved.
Im just going on what they said…
vote#2 for blue’s block, better get it soon, its not gunna be here forever
i just did a little bit of research on said turbo and it comes back to being about 4 years old. seems kind of an outdated turbo setup no? are you getting this turbocharger brand new? what are the specs on this thing? cold side is 57 trim… what is the a/r on the hotside? .48 or .63?
why are you so eager to try and bash my set up?
why are you so eager to try and bash my set up?
well, its not really bashing… maybe the way i posted it? i’ve never heard of a street thumper turbo so instead of asking i figure i do some research my self and thats what i got. t3/t4’s usually come in 50 trims and 57 trims… you have the 57 trim and on the hot side they are usually .48 and .63. i’m just trying to get some more info out of your setup. not bashing just constructful critisisim (sp) lol.
Sry man it looked like you were trying to be a duche…but did you and joey stop by inline sunday?
nope. i don’t even know where inline is?
