92 non-vtec vavles adjustment

I need to know hot to adjust the vavles on a 92 Civic non-tech. Can anyone help? thanks

take valve cover off,

adjust with feeler gauge

yeah pull valve cover and use feeler gauge and adjust as follows loosen rocker lock nuts and then use a flat head screwdriver to spin the stud to raise the rocker up and down onto the valve and put feeler gauge in between the valve and the rocker and tighten down onto feeler gauge until the feeler gauge comes out smooth if its dragging hard its to tight adjust use feeler gauges for intake: .006-.007 exhaust: .007-.008 while holding screw driver in place not to move the stud. tighten down the lock nut to manufacturer specs do this to every cylinder at top dead center and the vehicle cold. then when done double check to make sure that everything is correct. i did this on my motor and it doesn’t make a sound. hope it works out for you actually i just noticed that its a d16 mine is a b18 you might want to look under the hood on the catylast it will prolly tell you what specs to adjust to. but the process should be the same.

different specs than a b18.

Intake: 0.18-0.22 mm (0.007-0.009 in)
Exhaust: 0.23-0.27 mm (0.009-0.011 in)

as mentioned, do it cold, under 100 degrees. do #1, go counter-clockwise 180 on crank (or 90 on cam), do #3, 180 again, do #4, 180 again, do #2.

the locknuts are tq to 10lbs on d15b7 and d15b8, 14lbs on d16z6 and d15z1

Hey thanks ALOT guys! I really appricate it. Brand new head job and its making all kinds of noise from the head. Its making me mad, not even my car. But thanks again!
