Haha, sorry for holding out. Didn’t even think to post up the details. Yes, i’m going single. I sized everything up a little and realized that twins was just going to be a pain the ass, especially with what little room I have.
Turbonetics 76mm F1 68 turbine wheel .81 A/R. It should be enough for around 800rwhp, but I won’t be going that high. Maybe upper 600’s lower 700’s.
I really need to figure out how to tune it myself, or find a good tuner. Any suggestions? Not too many people around here have tuned high hp turbo lsx’s.
Thanks, hopefully I’ll be ok. I only paid $850 shipped brand new, which is why I bought it.
that thing is gonna spool fast i will tell you that much lol. i have a 1.15 AR on a similar size turbo and it spools fast on the customers car.
the car will be insane. are you gonna the truck manifold route? or making your own headers/logs? let me know of odd ball parts you may need as i have done similar projects already and can tell you where most of suppliers are.
Yeah, I bought some cheap truck manifolds. I had c6 manifolds which work almost as well but I threw them out. Had no idea there was any kind of market for them until i started looking into turbos.
Sadly, it’s probably the only thing i’ve thrown out, I have a room full of just random parts… why I picked those to throw out I dont know.
Nice what did you use? I have hptuners. Although its not the one that accepts 0-5v signals for wideband. I do think it’s BS that they charge like $250 more for this feature. Hell all you need to do is convert everything to digital with in like a $3-5 microcontroller. I know it’s not exactly that simple, but the cost difference to them is probably under $10.
i use hptuners pro version. to tune viva hp basic with wideband you setup your egr input as your wideband. if you have any questions about turboing the Rx7 i can help as well since im not to far from ya. Im working on my 2nd personal turbo project for next year
I just finally moved into my new house. I’m going to build a driveway around back. The garage on the right in the back view is basically a big 2 car garage work shop. It will be nice having an abundance of room for once!
