93 Rx7 Ls2 Project.

why is the rx7 such a popular car to drop an LS engine into? Just curious.

looks good man! ur right up the road from me

stick or auto. absofuckinlutelyawesome

what was wrong with the 13b?

prob nothing besides its a 13b and doesnt have pistons:blue:

because they look like they came in the car from the factory and because apex seals are the ghey

i know they should have put a 20b in there

It had apex seals. Only put 320 miles on it.

I bought the car specifically for this project, I love the look/size/weight hated the engine. Rx7 body + LSx = perfect fit for me.

still got the engine?

No, sold it along with the stock seats and AC sytem.

I still have a automatic transmission with 20k on it though.

Just whoring through…My last rotary PSA.

I seriously check this thread every day for updates. :bigok:

^explain to me why people with the 12a and 13a and even 13b can go 200k+ without a rebuild or major breakdowns?

I do not believe in a god, but whoever gets a 13b over 200k must be a god.

That said if you’re trying to start a rotarys arent unreliable arguement this isn’t the place. The car I bought was 100% stock other than exhaust and was on its 3rd engine. The chassis has 110k on it. This is more the norm than a rarity. If rotary’s were a good platform everyone would use them. Also there’s a reason the rx8 is slow as balls and not turbo’ed.

I’ll get some new pics up sunday when the roll cage is done.

Cool. Lookin’ forward to it.

Nice, looks good

Awesome project. I thnk all RX7’s should have an LSx motor in them.

NA rotarys are actually quite reliable. the moment you turbo or super charge it. thats when you start chipping apex seals.

I agree with that, like I said there’s a reason the rx8 is NA.
