Well I missed it. Pming back now

Does the chassis have any rust? Any body work done, or is it all original?
The arguing in this thread is hilarious. If he was asking $10k for it today I can see comparing it to a e36 M3, but he’s not. Back in 2002 this would have been a solid sleeper. I had a pullied/bolt on GTP run almost dead nuts with my 98 cobra that had 3.73’s and a CAI. I’d bet this scoots.
Think about what was around in 2002; 96-01 cobras, mustang GT’s, e36 M3’s, a few new s2000’s and wrx’s, all of which I would be willing to wager money on would lose to this. And they all cost more than $10k in 2002. Not sure it would beat a stock LS1 but I doubt it would get destroyed. This car could have raced a brand new $40k vette in 2002 and even if he didn’t beat it the guy would totally be thinking WTF? Hell, an auto C5 with 3.15 gears is pretty slow, I’d bet he’d beat that.
When I had my SRT4 with a CAI, cat back, and Stage 1 computer it put down 232/247 and I bet this is faster than that car was.
Do I want this? No, but I think this is a cool build for being from 2002. There were some pretty awful car creations that came from those years.
The chassis rust free. To best my knowledge no body work has ever been done.
As for speed it beats a c5 vette no problem

Ohhhhhh
On 3-11 this week but starting next week going to start hitting car shows with the cavalier. Might as well enjoy her while I have her.
I owned this car prior to Dale and the original build was done by one of my best friends. The car was professionally built up in Toronto at a shop called Race Tech that used to specialize in 3800 Fiero swaps, everything on this car is done well. The car was run at the track years ago at a J-Body bash in Hamilton Ontario, on that day it managed to run a 13.1 on a set of 18" Racing Harts and Nittos. The car was built with the purpose of being unique and it is definitely a sleeper and will surprise the hell out of alot of cars. I’ve personally witnessed the car run dead nuts from a roll with a C5 Z06.
I daily drove the car for a bit over a year and it never once gave me an issue, if someone is looking for a cheap, fun, and reliable daily this would make for a nice one… you don’t get much anymore for anywhere near 3k.
no doubt its a “sleeper” but unless that 13.1 run had a 2.4+ 60’ time theres no way it runs the kind of cars it has supposedly run
It indeed was a 2.3 60ft time. Like I said that was on a set of heavy 3 piece 18" Racing Harts and street tires so by no means ideal for the strip. I wouldn’t get too hung up on times though as we all know highway runs are far different than 1/4 mile passes, I can’t recall the exact trap speed but it was in the 112mph range.
