Have you datalogged your IATs? sucking air from the headers?
Can we cut your hood!

Not yet but I’m sure it’s 1000 degrees. Already noticed heat soak driving in stop and go traffic.
And I plan on getting a spare hood to cut holes in and polish.
My method was much better fggt!
Dude by one of my cams! lol
Also selling a LS1 so you guys can make crappy cars cool!
I love the fggt streched tires with the dry rot in the sidewalls lol
heater video to follow I’m sure.
the reason why it is fast is because I sold him the fastest PCV valve in town!!!
Happy everything turned out ok!
Karter, go the fuck away. You’re just mad because his wheels and tires cost more than your builds put together. Fuck. You’re so annoying.
This thing is sweet I bet its a blast to drive
Drive it.
I’m going to try make it to bubble tea long as it don’t rain and my diff stays in this time.
LOL @ UR DRYROT
saw this thing at tea leaf last night. nice car, solid work.
Working Well…
that engine bay looks like aids…
Yeah.
Not really that worried about it.
PCM is going to get some sort of cover built for it. Wiring will get loomed. Air intake NEEDS to get moved.
It’s going back up on jackstands this weekend.
CEL is on for cam sensor - I think the slave is leaking - Oil is leaking from the oil cooler adapter above the oil filter
Stuff to fix this winter…
So.
An LS swapped miata like mine with an intake located in an area similar to mine did some data logging in 70* heat.
IAT temps were in the 150* range. LULZ. Fuuuuu.
lol well on a positive note im pretty sure the stock tune only yanks like 3 degrees of timing at those IATs
can you bolt the air filter directly to the maf on a LS1 maf or is that going to mess up the readings? what about header wrap on that side to get temps down a little bit?
That the max it can pull…? ha
I have a few things I’m going to do to keep intake temps down.
I have a set of thermoTec header blankets that I’m going to put on.
NACA headlight cover + Turn signal intakes.
and then an isolator box
I’m hoping with all of that done to be able to stay closer to ambient air temp
