94 R-package miata

They’re still older style bottom mounts.

I would like 325obo for them.

color combo on that wrecked 01 is siqq. this thing should scoot once built. GL

nice to see you got some more parts, ill have to take a ride out one of these days now it seems to be getting nicer…

I like what I see, Long. well have pretty evenly matched Miatas this year. dope!

Looks like a lot of fun. Not feeling the bright red seats though.

Is this car your daily or just for fun? How much weight can you save removing the top entirely? I want a miata pretty bad, just have no place to keep it.

The seats are currently replaced with black Bride Vios III Lowmax which is why the sparco’s are for sale

The car is my summer daily/ auto-x/ track day slut. I have a dedicated set of r-comps for race days. The top is about 20 or so lbs. I am keeping my top only because I like the top down in the summer.

Future plans are to build the 1.8 VVT motor from the 02 miata and run 350whp. At 250whp, I should be able to walk c5 vettes. This miata with 279hp blew by a porsche 911 like it’s standing still. And it passed the F430.

Are they real bride seats???

I hate FAKES.

Can the stock drivetrain handle that kind of power?

I am not baller enough for real ones. That’s right, I said it.

lol

The weak point in the stock drivetrain is the 5sp tranny. Upgrading to the 6sp tranny is good for 400hp… as for as we know because no one has blown a 6sp up yet. Luckily for me, I have a 6sp tranny waiting from my parts car. The 1.8 rear diff’s are bullet proof. The stock engine is stout also, the weak point being rods which fail at about 250hp.

the rods and shit tend to fail at 250+ at boost for long periods of time. street driving is usually ok.

Im getting fake brides too. I am also not that baller. to me knockoffs are fine. idgaf.

and to answer a question above about removing the top…it saves about 30-35 lbs depending on the year and material and window type.

plus, most real brides are not even certified and this poser to begin with.

^ huh? poser what?

so when are we boosting this thing

Couple new additions along with a fresh car wash.

Ok so a lot has happened in the last couple weeks. I’ve been working on the car pretty much every day to get the car ready for the Begi S6 turbo, http://www.bellengineering.net/product_info.php?cPath=5_11_49&products_id=461. Goal is 250whp. First things first, the engine management.

I got the megasquirt up and running nicely. I installed a wideband to learn the megasquirt tuning software. Then I got an opportunity to street tune a 95 turbo miata, so that is a good learning experience for when I turbo my car. Currently, the car pulls hard (for a miata, anyways) with just basic street tuning on 93 octane gas and an increase in timing across the board.

Pics of my wideband in one of the factory air vents:

The stock 5sp tranny is known to blow when boost is added. So I installed the 6 speed tranny from my parts car, along with Flyin’ Miata 10.3lb flywheel and centerforce dual friction clutch. Sorry, no pics of the installation.

While installing the rollbar, I removed my soft top (to replace it with the top from my parts car).

I found a rusty fuel cover panel. I sanded the rust off and painted all the panels that were on top of the fuel tank.

And lastly, I put new wheels on. Kosei K1. 16x7.5+32 in the front and 17x7.5+25 in the rear:

nice updates, not digging the valve cover but everything else looks nice

Oh, forgot to mention I also installed a straight through roadstersport “race” exhaust.

Yayyy, I made it in the pics! <3. Turbo time now?

The valve cover looked the best in primer

I want a miata so bad. :frowning:
