'95 M3 Coupe Dinan Supercharged

Jesus that’s cheap.

i dont know why e36 m3’s are so difficult to sell here

it was like pulling teeth getting 6500 for my white '95 with 130k and it was nearly perfect.

Because the 18 users who have $6k cash don’t want something that old, and the people who want it can’t get financing for a 20 year old car. At least, that’s my guess

well if i wasnt moving i would def pick this up for a daily after setting aside like 1500 for maint.

my only real gripe with the e36 chassis when i owned mine was how dated the interior felt

So much truth in this quote. I have found in my vast knowledge of buying and selling cars, that the only quick flips are the following:

0-$5000 no matter what year. 15000-30000 if only a few years old and desirable.

Anywhere between that gap, and youre in a dead zone. People who look to buy 10+ year old cars are poor and have $0 in the bank, people who have the $6000+ liquidity in their bank account are well off enough to finance a newer car.

Because it is dated?

So. True.

GLWS: I have always loved the e36m3

This.

Price is right but the “known issues” are terrifying.

Why? because the body is whooped and the ac doesn’t work? I practically expect that on any car that’s under $7500 or 10+ years old. This one at least has a supercharger. Infact, I give props to the OP for divulging that information upfront, because it’s to be expected and shows hes honest.

GLWS OP. I’d buy it if I was in the market. Seems like a good project car for someone with a boner for e36’s.

Exactly!

Alex says thanks for all the kind words. He’s a stand up guy and one of, if not the most honest person I know, especially when it comes to selling his vehicles. Why lie about something and cause a drama/anger infused conversation, when you can be honest, and list every known issue to your knowledge up-front.

I would surmise this: cars with problems take forever to sell.

I just sold my 98 m3 locally on craigslist for full asking price, $6700, and I had no supercharger and 200k miles.

Every single little problem on my car was fixed, no warning lights, nothing needed. That opened it up to a much broader market, as they didn’t have to worry about repair costs, time, what shop or waiting for parts, etc. I have 3 local people who wanted it and 3 people who wanted to pay me to deliver it.

That being said I think this is a great deal. I would buy it if I were in the market for a track car or streetable fun car.

GLWS, surprised it hasn’t sold if it’s on bf.c.

Thanks for all the support on the car, I am in no way delusional to the fact that this car will be hard to sell! I know selling a car with problems is a pain in the ass and honestly I don’t like the fact that I have this posted with so many problems. The fact of the matter is that due to my shitty schedule I really have ZERO time to fix all the problems that 3 years ago, before I enlisted and when I had the time and resources, would have been fixed months ago. None the less, the car is still for sale for $6000…as it has been said I have been as honest as possible because I’m not about bull shitting. This car would make a sweet project or drift/track bomb that could be parted out to the shell to make some money back. If it doesn’t sell I will just end up stashing it away for a year or two until I am out of the Marines and can LS1 swap it as planned. Still running strong, just made another round trip from DC to Rochester and back a couple weeks ago.

Edit: New discrepancy - I lost one of the kidneys on the expressway heading back to DC a couple weeks ago, watched it explode under a semi in my rear view \:D/ So it now has a gap toothed smile…adds character…or something like that.

Bump because I still get 5-6 calls/texts a week about my car and I’ve been referring everyone to this one

^ GOOD DUDE

Awesome!! Thank you!!

This is awesome, thanks a lot man. It’s things like this that keep my faith in the car game, good to know that there is still good dudes out there!

On another note, to anyone that has called or tried to contact me about the car I apologize for not getting back to you. Over the past couple weeks I have been in the woods (literally) and haven’t had solid access to my phone. Not to mention having to activate a new phone recently and loosing any contacts I had. So if you’ve contacted me and were still interested, hit me up on here or leave me a voicemail at (585)490-1307.

Last and final update:

The car is still for sale for $6000 as is (will consider reasonable cash offers) until June 6th when the motor will be pulled and the car will be parted out before an LS1 swap. I know I have mentioned this before and have had interest but, due my unpredictable schedule (as always), I haven’t been able to give a solid time on when that might be until now. I also know that most likely it will come down to a part out, so in that case I will of course make an appropriate thread, but in the meantime if anyone is interested in specific parts just shoot me a PM or text and we can start to figure something out.

Once again I apologize for the sporadic updates and lack of communication, I am at the mercy of the military unfortunately so I do the best I can. As always if interested in the car, parts from potential part out, shoot me a PM, text, or leave a voice mail. I will be out of the country after this week for work, so PM will be the best way to contact me as I will have internet capabilities. Questions can also be directed towards AShort as well because he knows the car just as well as I do.
