951 winter progress

Well you never know with german electronics, oh wait, those are gone

:lolham:

i like the face drawn on the piston haha.

and the seats = sexy.

Starting to look good. How are the seat brackets?

i love how this project is coming along huge

keep up the good work

nice progress. love the seats.

Hey, its looking pretty sweet. Btw, wtf is a torque tube? lol

Whats the driver seat? An EVO L? Or plain EVO? I remeber the EVO L was a little big and your not…

Both are my Evo Ls that I sold him.

Torque tube is like a driveshaft, but for cars with a transaxle in the rear. It’s basically a REALLY long input shaft for the transmission that is supported by a set of bearings in the tube.

cool, I was always wondering every time someone said it what it was…

Yeah, Brent hit the nail on the head.

Yeah, I’m not a big guy, but Brent gave me a deal on them until I buy new ones next year.

I wasnt sure in my head how it was going to look, but I like it

Stop eating pizza and get back to work.

Where is the Pizza boy, I havent seen him in awhile.

im not sure how i feel about the white intereior… i woulda painted the floor a glossy black, i think the white is gonna glare like a mofo… but it will probably keep the interior cooler

maybe the pizza bit back…

Looks like you got a lot done.

I think white shows stress fractures better than black :dunno: though

The white does show spills and cracks much better than black, that was a significant part of doing it. Much easier to diagnose something quickly. I’ve been in a few cars with the white before. Initially getting in you think it’s a bit bright, but after a second your eyes adjust, and the alcantara dash helps take care of major glare (as will having the cage be flat black, rather than white).

are you putting the door panels back on? if not you should skin them with some alum or CF panels

Working on some new custom panels with the guy who did the alcantara for my dash board  They will be 964 RS style.

That was probably my next question. That will look hot if you do it just like your dash!

Was going to get the engine in, but remembered that I never finished the balance shaft delete. Ooops! Better now then a week from now with it in the car going oh $#@*

So some extremely light gauge aluminum was cut up and covered with JB… err Epoxy… It’ll do the job.

Clutch stuff waiting go on. Spec 5# flywheel showed up, undamaged this time

Changed the damn bearings on the clutch release, getting them in was easy, getting them out… major PITA.

Bling bling. Not just mocked up anymore, it’s on the car.
