his roommate came to pickup the 944 parts i was tossing out. he told me he was throwing it a “turbo race engine”.
Greg, I found a couple of my old painted basketweaves from my 1st e30. No idea if they are straight or not but if you want them just pick them up.
you got 4? are they in the barn?
i’ll grab them tomorrow after work if you don’t mind. dave said he might have some over there too, but he couldn’t remember.
Greg, I looked for Dave’s I couldnt find them. They are in the barn, give me a ring, I get out at 5 and will be there around 6-6:30
PM me your number again, i didn’t get the numbers transfered to my new phone.
Thanks
Sorry for the shitty cell phone pic. Been rarely working on it the past couple months, with the nice weather and all the other cars kicking around I just havent found the time. shrug
Trying to get some big stuff accomplished in the next month or so though. We’ll see how that pans out… lol…
Havent worked on it at all, but I did get a KILLER deal on a set of Borbet Type A’s in Porsche fitment. Basically brand new (incredible steal, any VW kid will tell you ;)), 17x10 et12, 17x8.5 et20. Not that I can use them. Except for the 10’s on the fronts. Might investigate getting them rebarreled.
cut and weld.
and yeah… where the shit is the progress on the 951?
Why can’t you use them? Is 17x10 to small for the rear with the new widebody stuff?
Yeah, x10 or x11 is what I use in the front.
Damn and you can fit 315-335’s on 11 inch wheels, I can’t imagine trying to find a street tire for something larger than that.
Yeah, I run 295-305 in front and 315-335 in the rear.
Since Newmans got bumped. This has to get bumped, and the race is on…
again.
Make a 2009 poll?
Very nice build you have going on, I thoroughly enjoyed reading all 20 pages of it.
Brought the Healey home tonight to help my father pull a bunch of drivetrain stuff. Pcar is ready to leave for paint!
Ended up trimming/cutting away a LOT more of the rear section of the car for proper fitment of new panels. They are getting bonded on while the paintwork takes place. Also did some engine mockup stuff but forgot to take pics.
Not much of an update, but whatever. It leaves for paint, and then a cage rework, and then comes home to have the new engine dropped in.
It leaving for the paint and cage rework soon or?
“soon” in Deturck time: anytime between 2 and 84 months…
Next week. Ass.
ahaha adam so true
I get home in a little over 2 weeks, I’ll have to come see the finished product.
