Around 9pm yesterday…
Well i went out for a short cruise and was stopped at a light with a couple cars in front of me and one car rolling up behind me. The weather has been nice lately so the windows were done including sunroof open to let in all the sounds and beauty of motha nature. So usually im pretty alert while driving and i notice the car behind me sounds pretty nasty and the headlights not so bright and very round, i orginally thought it was a lowered old school truck or something due to the round headlights and chrome round mirrors, square looking shape.
The vehicle behind me definitely sounds like a cam’d out small block, he gives it a rev to help the idle and i decided hmmm… Ill give him a rev back(my 540i is straight piped 4.4L V8 noises). The light goes green i take off normal due to cars being ahead and he decided to get next to me and i find that its a RED early or mid 60’s Nova. He holds a lower gear as if he knew exactly what to do in this situation. I was surprised, and decided sure lets do this! I downshift we give it a go and he pulled a couple cars and we shut it down due to traffic, he may of had the HIT, we only went from around 30-50/60mph.
We slow back down for another go and he pulled a car and ahalf or so again. We roll to a red light and i said, “Nice car”!! It was a pretty bad ass nova, sounded mean, and it must of been a 4 speed too. The light goes green and we roll out 10 ft or so and both hit it and he pulled a couple cars again.
It was fun :bigtup: to the guy who seemed middle aged but knew how to enjoy a nice cruise! I dont know if it had ladder bars or a 4 link or what but the car was done up not just cam’d small block, it had what looked like small shocks towards the center of the rear dif and big meats out back.
Anyone know of this car? If i still had my 2000 Trans Am WS6 w/full exhaust i would of probably beat him or tied him.
