Well i finally picked up something different… 97 Neon Sport or the equivalence to 2 door neon RT. Comes with a 140hp Dohc 2L. Has a D4RE… a cousin to Mitsubishi’s 420A, or the GS or RS motor just a different head. Gonna hammer it and throw some wheels on it and figure out what i’m gonna do for the motor next year… heres some pics.

well when you get rear ended by someone with no insurance and then they dont pay up after small claims court and you need a car you pick up the first 1000 dollar car with 70k original miles. its gonna get me around town and if i want it to be it could be a could platform… sorry i couldnt have ANOTHER honda just like everybody else.
well i just put a brand new oil pan and the oil shows no sign of antifreeze… i’m pretty sure it has already been ugraded to the metal head gasket. i replaced the oil pan with the metal gasket. its gonna be a solid motor for awhile… if i decide to keep it the srt4 turbo manifold is a direct bolt on. so we will see what happens…
so i put the car on the road friday… the car was making a noise at around 3 thousand rpm… noticed the first couple times a changed the oil it had some metal shavings in it… didnt think much about it hoping that it was just stuff that was sitting in the oil pan from a while ago. and it wasn’t. car finally shit the bed in about 9 hours of driving so let the build up begin. gonna build an all motor neon capable of pulling low 14’s. and spraying into the 12’s. as well as go kart handling. shooting to be done by next spring will keep updated with pictures.
