I think these are considered 99.5’s but anyway. It is a 2.0 5sp. with 165k.
It is mine and my girlfriends. I work on it so we get free haircuts. Recently she told me it started idling like crap when she started it but would get better after a minute, so I scheduled a tune up on friday; plugs, wires, fuel filter. It has a newer air filter already. Then she tells me it now revs to like 3k when she starts it, and it doesn’t always do it but many times when she pushes the clutch in. I am going to do the maintenance first, but is there a idle control sensor on these cars? Anyone else have this problem with a jetta?
Oh and where’s the fuel filter on these? Is it an easy in-line one under the hood?
