99FRC = Best Businesman Ever.

5 hours @ 70MPH = 350 miles
350 miles / 30MPG = 12 gallons
12gal*$3 = $36
Oil change every 3000 miles @ $75 = $12 for 350 miles

$36 + $12 = $48
$60 - $48 = $12
$12 - $7 for lunch = $5

So you want someone to drive you for 5 hours total for $5? No.

Calmmmm down, I think he was just kind of hoping that someone might be going to boston by chance. JESUS

I wasn’t being an asshole. I was merely posting that because when you do the math it makes no sense and that he would be better off paying bus fare.

I think the chances are pretty low of finding someone during those days that is going to just be “passing” through the area.

NO it’s not $1 an hour, a high and mighty business owner like you who bills at $200 an hour is actually losing $1000 for the time you’re not working, so you’re actually losing $995 for 5 hours, if you want to be all technical. Why don’t you bill me for a carwash too, I’m sure I-90 has a lot of bugs…

My offer is really more suited to someone who is going there anyways and wouldn’t mind moving their departure time up or down to suit me and drop me off 15 miles out of the way or something.

I don’t understand why someone has to $hit on a thread that is pretty much asking for a favor, wow…

Actually during the weekend, I wouldn’t lose any money at all. And honestly, I didn’t even think about the car wash. So yea you really are asking for a straight up favor. But your naive if you think you can post on shift, asking for someone to basically drive you 5 hours for free and not have people bash you for it.

But like other people have said, if you pay for gas + the $60, i would be down.

Don’t get your panties in a twist btw, I was just posting facts, not shitting on anything. Getting mad at me for posting that is like getting mad at someone for revealing your magic trick.

I thought I could get some help.

After all, Shift is useful for everything, even getting love life advice…

But hey who am I, just a dumb kid asking for a favor.

Seriously, your taking my post WAYY out of context. I honestly thought that maybe you didn’t put to much thought into asking someone to help you for just $60. Maybe, i misread your post, but it didn’t seem like you were asking for a favor as much as it seemed you were asking for someone to not do the math. Either way, calm the hell down, all I did was post facts. I didn’t bash you or your post.

Coming from a guy who ripppped someone off on a corvette, still can’t believe someone payed the price you asked

I’m very calm. Tell you the truth, I’m not upset that a simple post asking for a favor gets $hitted on within 3 minutes…

That’s all well and good, almost to be expected from this site.

I am just a little vexed that a person taking time out of their day to make it look like I’m putting in a post that says “hey suckers drive my a$$ 150 miles for free”, instead of just commenting “hey bud, your offer could be a little better”… Is the same guy asking for sincere relationship advice on a car forum.

Seriously, dude, I got no beef with you, I am just saying, if you look at your original reply it’s like you’re damn near issuing a challenge to someone that is just asking for help.

I hope for the sake of your growing business you don’t respond to clientele the same way.

Actually, I decided not to sell the vette. Even for what I was asking, which apparently was within limits. But what would you know about that? You obv. see KBB and think it’s god, which would make sense if your used to driving an economy car. But if your driving a sports car, or car that has more market value than book value, you would think my price was not actually unreasonable.

Do KBB on a Supra and then go find one for the same value. If you do, it’s in a junkyard.

Supra is completely different than a corvette

Touche. Honestly, been dealing with a cheapskate vendor for half the day and your thread took the brunt of my financial stress…my apologies. :beer

Yeap. So applies the rule Market Value is completely different than Book Value.

Don’t be ignorant.

What? Theres no way the market value of your corvette is that high. Especially in today’s economy.

No? Explain why i had three offers all VERY close to my asking price? Must be a coincidence.

Whats very close?

A round trip would definately cost me atleast $65 in gas.

The best offer was $17,500. The guy must have thought that for only $500 I would deal but I didn’t NEED to sell it. So I didn’t.

Archie is a real nice guy. Lay off.
