I wish I could take credit for this…but I definetly cant.
Throughout the many years I have watched the Steelers I have never felt so confident in the play-offs until this week. Historically Steelers are picked to win or lose tight play-off games. In all my life I have never seen such a blatant disregard for Pittsburgh talent quite like the Steelers Colts match up on Sunday. One might think playing in the loud dome, against the best team in 05’ in which you were embarrassed on Monday night might be intimidating. For most the answer would be yes, for the Steelers this may be just what the doctor ordered. Similar to the way Cincinnati’s provoking “pass the torch” speech was short-lived. I expect a much higher level of silent distain for the way the Steelers are portrayed as a small hurdle in the Colts Super Bowl season.
The Steelers are like that kid on the playground that you never could quite joke around with like the other kids. This was the kid who was a little crazy so you never pushed his buttons in fear he would kill you. However you always loved it when someone else would bring him to his breaking point. Case in point Pearl Jam’s “Jeremy”. Jeremy just trying to get an education, until his classmates unleashed the lion and he killed them all with a grin on his face. Everyone knows a Jeremy whether the Lion has been unleashed or not. The Steelers are the “Jeremy” of the NFL. It’s up to them whether they will unleash the lion.
My prediction is we will shock the World on Sunday. Go Steelers!
