A few oil cooler Q's?

I picked up a Ford Racing oil cooler fo da SHO. I was wondering Where would I get a remote filter moun t since there is no room between teh front of the motor and the rad? What are some good ones at a decent price?

Also will teh heavy duty oil lines that come with the kit be OK or should I get braded ones?

Get the Universal Kit from Perma-Cool

Summit Part# PRM-10695

Then get some 1/2" to -8AN braided line and go to town. I did this in my Eclipse with braided line and it worked out pretty well. Make sure you don’t put extra length in there or your oil pressure will drop.

Does your setup have a thermostat in it some where?

No exactly, This is what it says:

The self-regulating feature bypasses cold engine oil automatically (without thermostats or valves) until oil viscosity decreases and allows oil to flow through the main body of the cooler.

So who knows what the f#ck that means…

Also, where should I mount the cooler bypass? At the bolck or at the remotely mounted filter?

that means that the oil is blocked from going through the cooler untill the car is warm so (oil viscosity goed down as it gets warmer) when it reaches a certain viscosity its allowed to flow through.

cool feature if u ask me
