these are videos one of my old Squadron members posted from our 2006-2007 deployment. life on the flight deck, something id do again if i had to… these jets were pigs… comissioned into service in the 1970s :wow
our “show bird” was painted as the american flag. one was colored, the other that spent many months in Iraq was tactical painted with shades of blue,gray and black

fuckkkk being on the flight deck of one of those carriers, if you screw up you die…im sure youve seen the videos of like the guy who gets sucked into the jet engine and another one when the arresting wire snaps and hits someone… crazy shit

ive seen the wire snap. it happened on my old ship(cvn-73)

and ofcourse ive seen the video of the guy on the cat go down the intake of the A-6E intruder… it was at Military speed(which is over 100% of the advertised rpm/thrust range), ready to launch. could have been alot worse.

yeah, he only destroyed a 1.2 million dollar Pratt & Whitney turbine jet engine

haha… i guess thats not as bad as the stealth bomber that malfunctioned and crashed a few months ago… im not entirely sure how much those cost but i think around a half billion dollars or more

the F-117A stealth fighter is in the range of 45-122million/ea
exact cost isnt given as there were several variants

the B-2 Stealth Bomber is 1.2 BILLION to build. but in Current USD its cost is 530 Million. without maintenance support and crews its said they cost about 270 million… a bargain!
