A WRX, Kermit the Frog, and 2 broken lenses later...

My buddy Dan Murray (who some of you know) asked me to take some pics of his bugeye wrx, and ofcourse I agreed. Well, what a shoot. The day’s events:

  • Found a nice back road and started taking pics.
  • A guy in a MINT cutlass 'vert pulls up to look at the cars.
  • I move my car and run over 2 of my lenses.
  • I finish the photoshoot like a BOSS with one zoom lens.

Anyways, here’s the some highlights of the shoot. The rest can be found here:

Enjoy!

waddup kermit

wow some of these are REALLLLY good! great work !

Thank you! I’m trying to work on my editing, I think that’s my biggest downfall. I think I’m getting better though.

Looking at the pics you and Jim take has def helped me out a lot :thumb

Damn man, that sucks about the lenses. Which lenses were they? Hoping no L glass was harmed lol.

Great photos man, seems like you came a long way from your first few postings.

This car didnt have a carbon hood, and black wheels at one point in time did it?

Expensive photoshoot. At least the pictures came out good in the end

Dan is good people too.

Luckily, I don’t own any L glass lol. It was my Sigma 18-50mm and Canon 50mm 1.8. I might be able to salvage them though… :shifty

Nope, I don’t think so

Haha yea, not how I was expecting the day to go.

Dan is def good people, one of the nicest guys I know.

“Come At Me Bro” shot and number 13 are my favorites.

Dirt is a great background to use for a WRX, even mid day shots you can get some nice contrasting areas out of with dirt and gravel.

Dont be afraid to shoot whatever grabs your attention on a car, nuts, bolts, color, scratches, dents, body lines, whatever gives the car its character and personality - even if its dirty and covered in grease. You have some good compositions, keep shooting I want to see more!

Good work man, Dan is definitely good people. They came out nice, bummer about the lenses! I like 3 and 4, but 9 really did it for me. It’s a different perspective than what we usually see from the typical car shoots but worked out really well. Good location, car looks good and the photos came out great.

Thanks Jim :rockon Thats another thing I’m working on. I noticed I usually do the same type of shots so, I tried to get some different views in on this one. Practice makes perfect

Thank you! 9 is one of my favorites too.

5 and 14 are sooo Minty

oh hai!

Whoa these are some dope pics. 9 and 16 are my favs but Kermit needs to GTFO.

FROGS NEED LOVE TOO

Pics are really good, Murray is a cool dude as well.

Pics of lenses? :lol
